Wagner's original "Grendel: Devil by the Deed" is one of my favorites. This one "Master Edition" is a complete redo of it forty years after the original. It's really good!

I haven't read Hate in years...Did the characters freeze in time? They look like they're still 30-ish which is about how old they were when Bagge ended the first run in the 90's.

No, they have actually aged as time has gone by. I'm not sure exactly how old they are supposed to be but Buddy has a kid that's a teenager. This comic has stories from different time periods though including how Buddy and Lisa first met.

Walter did the interiors on the book with Terry Austin inking him. Perez did X-Men Annual #3 (Austin inking) with Arkon as the villain.

@@sleepyreader666 I have a vague memory of that one (or maybe I’m confusing it with Friday by Fraction and Martin) but I’ll have to check it out. According to the book she sent me her first work was “The Infinite Loop” that she crowd funded and then it was picked up by IDW.

@@sleepyreader666 I just remembered that I got November volume one from the library back when it came out. I liked it but it really annoyed me that the story wasn’t complete and was just getting started when the book ended. I think I put it out of my mind after then.

@@JaredOsborn I loved the art, but you did have to read all five (?) books to get the whole story! That's a lot to ask...and it's not that the story was that worth the cost and effort. But she really refined her style in that book...so amazing and a rip off at the same time.

You should really check out The One Hand! It really ties in well with The Six Fingers. They are not rehashes of each other. I actually believe The One Hand is the main story technically.

These comics being out of print annoy me because these collections go for insane prices and it's over Dennis the friggin' menace. Thankfully, people on the internet archive have been posting archives of these comics for everyone to read without having to spend a fortune on these. "You can contemplate these drawings" YEAH, Hank has become a huge artistic influence of mine as of late, so I'm really happy to see someone geek out about his art as much as I have been trying to study it to get that kinda flavor of line flow and cuteness from his art. Drawing comics is way too much work. I’ve done a few in my day and it’s a full time job. Writers can have a career in their spare time but not artists. Full time working comic book artist don’t even have any spare time!

I'm not sure. 24 and 32 are the sizes I normally see. Sometimes the covers are included in those page counts and sometimes not.

The cover to Eternals # 16 was inked by the under-appreciated Frank Giacoia. Interiors were inked by Mike Royer. In my book, the two best inkers to work with Jack Kirby (yes, I think they were an even better match to the King than Joe Sinnott).

I was lucky enough to stumble onto that Sub-Mariner comic in my youth. I've had it since the early 1980s. Otherwise I probably wouldn't know it either. Sub-Mariner comics don't get shown very often.
