Yeah I remember this. So long ago.

I saw this commercial when I was at my Grandpa's house god rest his soul as my uncle and me was watching Mortal Kombat on TNT and I begged my mom and my dad to get me The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for my N64 at Walmart in Carlsbad, NM but it was quickly sold out and my mom got me Banjo-Kazooie so we waited until Christmas and my mom got me the game and I was very happy to fight Gannondorf and rescue Princess Zelda in 3D.

I cant wait for a future remake where itll start with a dark time is approaching... would be insane if they brang this back

2024 of November, A legend was born. A lot of Zelda fans today would never understand just how influential and groundbreaking this game really was w After it came out in the late 90s. Gaming of the modern age would never existed had been for the ocarina of time!

I was in Jr High when this came out, and I remember getting it on release day, I played all through my Thanksgiving break. I still remember sitting in my room listening to it rain outside while I was trying to get through the forest dungeon. As much as I liked, botw and totk, I really hope nintendo makes another "traditional" Zelda game for the switch 2

why would a ninja need alliance frames taking up so much screen space, and party frames centre? That's a healer UI lol. Actually as an 8 year old video this is the old school 'cluttered' type of UI WoW players used to love using. Why also would you play with the camera pointing straight down so you can't see what's going on, and finally why would you run into the big insta-kill AoE?

This is the best commercial I have ever seen!

I remember these commercials and how Nintendo got shit for (strangely) adding "will thou play like a girl"? I don't remember the commercials using the music from Conan though, that's pretty badass. It doesn't fit the game at all but gets the blood pumping. Then again the game sold itself, it's still an absolute masterpiece.

I remember seeing this on TV nonstop and never giving a damn about, in fact it was getting annoying. Then one day I go to my friends house and walk into him and his 2 brothers sitting in the couch playing this. We spent the rest of the day brainstorming on how to beat the 1st deku tree dungeon. That’s was it! That’s all it took and I was hooked!!! All it took was one play thru for me to realize this is the game I’ve needed my whole life!!! We was a bunch of noobs that didn’t know a damn thing and went on to finishing the game as a group month later or so, no guides or cheats or looking things up online. Yea, it took us forever but we finally did it haha and it was the best fukking gaming experience I’ve ever had in my life!!!!!

i remember being so devastated when ura zelda restoration was cancelled when i was 9 like beyond belief forgot about it eventually and now here i am randomly thinking ab it again after watching some oot video essay, only to find that the gcn forums is closed 9 years later and that one of the dudes who worked on it is now working on a kemono bara fanmade visual novel LMFAO crazy how things turn out i hope things go well doe, what a blast from the past

I wasn't alive at the time of this commercial, so to me it doesn't really feel like Zelda. I know of course that this was only the 5th Zelda-game, and the series didn't have as strong of an identity as it does now. But still, it feels like they went way to medieval and Elder Scrolls-y.

I was so hyped for this game that when I actually bought it I was dissappointed because I set myself absurd expectations. Over time, the hype weared off and I discovered a masterpiece of a game. It was that good, just not how I imagined it.

Obligatory Triforce% plug here. The team that performed it gave the community something amazing by collecting all of the urban legends and beta assets together!

I never got to experience this game in my youth, being a Playstation owner who never had an N64. Although I prefer some of the later Zeldas over Ocarina of Time, it's still an excellent game that I feel I missed out on.
