I remember when Skunk #1 first became available in the Netherlands in the mid 80's. It was so pungent passers by would have a "Ugh, what's that stink?!" reaction when had you smoked some hours before and the reek clung to your clothes. It became so watered down by the Dutch breeders that it now bears little resemblance to the original. It did provide us with Exodus Cheese though. Also Psychosis, a great UK strain.

I’ve got some older strains from the 90s - early 2000s. Idk what they even are. One of my purple skunky strains i feminized seeds. And have kept the strain alive all these years.. it’s always purple n green sticky And smells soo dam good. They herm out a bit. But hey more seeds. And those seeds make super purple plants.

Certain characteristics seem to be disappearing. It's been quite some time since I've had anything I could still smell because I quickly moved a double bagged 8th from one sealed jar to another. It's been a few years since I had a good sour diesel, for me it's the one strain which reminds me most of the older skunks. Everything is so fruity now.

I've been around cannabis since a kid and when it began to be a part of my life in the late 80's I will never forget the flower that was around. Because of my age and not knowing anything at that point my description is much different then it would be if the flower was around after becoming educated in cannabis. The flower I'm referring to and again this is what I remember always had a oval shape bud , very fuzzy , and a smell I will never forget. It had the most amazing but offencive smell I've ever experienced. I can't give a good description on smell but when smoking and after it smelled like poop/Skunk, road kill sku k . The smell was so strong if you didn't brush your teeth or chew gum you would have poop breath. I've had some dank and loud flower since but nothing that comes close to that flower around 87 -89 .

These strains all still exist in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India. The original ones here were brought back by the old hippy world travelers.

Okay, I know someone in Eugene who in 1998 told me he was the source of the snow. I cant tell you his name but his deadhead wife has or had a well known business there. He said it was 4 way. I never dug it that much.

Great for small scale but can be performed more efficiently with a shop vacuum and a standard sieve screen. He vacuum method is better because it removes fines from your hash. ✌️

The skunk strains not only Had crazy terps but they grew great outdoors! very robust and hardy plants that matured early and had huge sticky buds same with the old hash plant strains.

Santa Cruz yeh man .never been. I used to have a natas skateboard tho when I was hardcore street skater back in the day Santa Monica airlines made man .really good wood didn't delaminate like a Powell peralta board. I'm trying to find out if it's a landrace I've got or just a mutant plant .phenomenally minty potent terps with fruit undertones it doesn't grow properly doesn't like to be fed wants loads of root space.leafy small Budd .virtually no hairs leaf grows like buds .buds are tiny little v CALIXS pencil thin .absolutely covered in trycomes tho. Red stems turning darkish brown in flower really woody if it stops growing it sets wood really quickly and stunts .each time I regrow it it seems to gradually get better. But to be honest I haven't really given it the best attempt. Crossed with it to see if that helps .still waiting to see tho. It's an absolute conubdrum man .got seed from a friend who couldn't remember where it came from. But I do remember him saying he was growing something outside as an interest years ago so I'm wondering if it has landrace origin like an S1 of a landrace or heirloom or something. Or maybe it's a dudd . ????it's so different and has some great traits tho. It's damn crazy but good traits aswel as crazy ones.

Think on this. Theres ove fivehundred lifesaving pain medications that are synthesised from just poppy somniferum whole plant processing. Five hundred. Somewhere ouw tgere in a dark corner of someones concience is the same for canabis plant. Research units covert have alot of this stuff already on paper .

Solar astrophysics ar really useful tools for understanding light and photosynthesis .plants remind me of well the photosynthesis reminds me of solar fusion emissions .you can se lots of similarities in relation to both those subjects. How the proceses of the sun replicate in photosynthesis and biology etc etc.

I get annoyed at dispensaries. The strains like Northern Lights, always gets you baked even though its indica. Skunk # 1 in the early 90s. So strong smelling. Sativa indica hybrid, and my fave durban poison. Living in Asia for 15 years I was smoking Nepalese hash. Incredible always works, tastes incredible. I also smoked some great Cambodian. Very strong. Obviously a sativa.

I wonder if anyone has ever put an amine group onto these terpenes? Cannabis is one of the only drugs that lacks a nitrogen. The cannabinoids are fascinating, the terpenes maybe more so? Is that funky smell we love dead insects??! Maybe steer away from those strains that contain ANY of that😂 too creepy and bad karma

I'm from Lincolnshire, UK. In the early 90's we had skunk #2, there is a cultivar that's called "cheese" which has the best skunky dank terpene profile cultivated so far, at least well known strains.
