It has kind of a fibreglass insulation layer (similar to Roxul) in between two soft felt paper layers. Only around 1-1/2 inch thick.

Nice! I just put green board on the ceiling of our porch. We already had 6 sheets on the porch but I was hesitant since most people advise against it but it was the most practical approach. I will end up fully enclosing and it has close to 4 ft eve anyhow.

The cost of the stairs was around $11k. This style is usually a lot more expensive than a standard staircase which would probably be half the cost, but the style really makes an impact to the space!

What does the dimple board do? Just a layer of plastic barrier? Why’s it dimpled?

The dimples act as channels that direct any water that develops on the foundation wall down to the footers.

You could use gravel, but it would be very expensive to install and backfill with around the whole foundation. Dimple board on the other hand is a lot more cost effective and produces a similar result.

It's pretty strong material and can withstand the weight of the backfill material without compressing the dimples as far as I know. I found this website with more info: polyguard.com/blog/dimple-board

Why go through all that trouble just to leave all cables basically undressed. A cable comb, Velcro and some time would make this much better.

A water sensing shut-off valve. Or a water sensing alarm thaat sits in a pan. They link to a phone if you like that stuff. They also make pans with or without drains. The amount of dust from dryer lint is a no for the bedroom.

I think the first one since the lines aren’t so harsh they blend seamlessly, creating a clean look. The second is very modern, hard, crisp lines with a very clean look as well.
