Please don't forget there was a pilot inside of it. All the flight was under a high skilled and completely fearless human pilot. This is great, but not even close what is been doing today.

The main reason is nobody’s willing to launch 260 satellites into orbit for full-time coverage for more money unless they already have money because it’s pretty well $500,000 per satellite plus depending on the launch craft and how many satellites and carry per payload.

This was AMAZING 8/18/1993 when the DC-X aka the Delta Clipper did the exact same thing! Compliments of McDonnell Douglas aerospace in Southern California. I know when this technology was pioneered, because my dad spent a fair amount of time in White Sands New Mexico on the team bringing it to fruition. ❤

I seriously doubt that any of this will ever happen. In the highly unlikely event that any of this becomes a reality, the only people who will be able to afford it will be billionaires.

when everyone's needs are met, we won't need money. we just need to figure out how to reach that. i.e. end wars, stop homelessness, etc

Right. The Alcubierre Drive - that would require Mass/Energy the equivalent of the entire planet Jupiter.... We're not, "pretty close", to that.

Reusable rocket tech is not an Elon Musk invention. NASA had Vertical Landing Rockets since the early '90s (contactor McDonnell Douglas) Search videos for: DC-X Delta Clipper Experimental test

But NASA is going back to the Moon with what? Right. NASA administration is a political conundrum, poorly supporting the great work of its team. Aerospike should be on all aerospace vehicles.
