@@S_TN thanks! It’s just one Game Boy Pocket and the TX-6 mixer. There are other consoles on the table but they’re not mine.

I don't think this is the program I'm looking for, but I figure someone here would know. I came across a song made in GenMDM, that I really wanted a VGM of, I got the original data file only to realize it's standard mid midi file. How can I render this song without owning actual genMDM hardware, and primarily, how can I render a VGM of it?
@2xAA8 ай бұрын
The VST plugin “FM Drive” might work. It has claimed some compatibility with GenMDM but I’ve never tried it myself. That wouldn’t get you a VGM file though, just audio.

You know maybe if you showed us how you know constructed some of these songs and made some of these loops and that would be a more interesting stream than just showing us you know the timeline chart on Nana Loop

Nice video; although this software is really a hard thing to use if you want to actually make music with notes, without a keyboard. For some reasons it feels like more akin to a tracker than to something else. So there is no sound library? Every time you start a project you need to re-make the sounds?
@2xAA Жыл бұрын
Thank you! You can save the finished pattern in a bank, load the bank next time and copy the note (see the manual) to be used in another pattern. It’s actually unlike a tracker in that regard, most trackers have a concept of instruments.

Hey Dude, This is the video that I am looking for, Clear explanation for me as a noob in Nanoloop, I have Questions, Is it able to make a melody to more than 15 Channel like LSDJ did, I am just thinking to cover a song and confused how to make a long melody and rhythm cause Nanoloop has only 15 channels to do it, Please Help me
@2xAA3 ай бұрын
Hey, just saw this comment! Nanoloop is difficult to create melodies with, but it is possible. If you check out my nanoloop 2 breakdown video for “Night Time Waves” I cover writing long melodies in that. LSDJ is easier for that as it’s a tracker, not a sequencer.

Halo, Been so hard to find a Nanoloop tutorial. I am noob in Nanoloop, been working on LSDJ for a long time, Currently I move up into Nanoloop two, would you like give me an explanation how to save a song ?
@2xAA3 ай бұрын
Hey, just saw this comment. You go to the bank screen and press a+b+down to save a pattern to the slot in that bank. That will save all channels to the selected column in the bank. b+down will save just the selected channel. Read the nanoloop manual for more information, it’s not too complicated to follow, I promise :)

Hi thanks for detailed explanation and programming although polyphony doesn´t work to well for chords (lowest notes often missed out) sound familiar?
@2xAA Жыл бұрын
Thank you. I think it depends on the octave. Very low octaves don’t work on GenMDM, that’s not something the GenMDM Editor can fix, it’s a hardware limitation of the Sega. If you can reproduce with a video or something then I can take a better look but I’ve not found an issue with the polyphony so far.
@mcentertain Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the swift reply. I´ll look into the issue only occuring with very low octaves. Then I´ll definitely do a video of the issue. I also had some issues loading the sound banks, but I´ll just have to dive in deeper I guess. Anyways it was the 1st time I got some usable sounds out of the genmdm as well able to play the samples back. Very well done and dead grateful to you Sir! @@2xAA
@mcentertain Жыл бұрын
...also there was also a value fault in OP4 like one value jump so I am guessing there is some serious debugging necessary or the whole genmdm is flawed I don´t know anymore :/ my dream seems to be over which is really really sad. Farewell I am out :/ @@2xAA
@mcentertain Жыл бұрын
I fiddled around some more and watched and listened to Jamatar - Glyphes and Waves set and I was able to get a very similar sound so I am happy and this is now usable for music making. Still I´ll test out some more sounddesign and it seems so much different on deflemask maybe they messed up. Something is really weird in loading DMP instruments. Anyways your editor is the best there is, as all other options are gone, and building a cc environment from scratch in touch osc or ableton I am just not willing to at the moment. So I am grateful and you earned your donation from me. Thanks for saving my music dream! Cheers
