That's pretty much the same concept as the Looft + BBQ Dragon Chimney of Insanity, but that gets much hotter, quicker.

@@polokidd2399ify Glad to help. As an update I found a wireless recharge pad from IKEA works also, they're only a couple of bucks, but you have to get in just the right spot to work.

You should do one where you actually do start it with maybe a burning source fire starter and then use the heat gun to speed it up.

Never buy any car with that little hole in the front bumper. It's the manufacturer's admission that the car is guaranteed to let you down.

I had a 1959 Mk1 A40 and used the starting handle many times. The reason was the positive earth system which meant that the battery terminals would corrode no matter how much vaseline you put on them: hence often enough power for a spark but not enough to turn the electric starter. The starting handle was also useful to set the timing and the points gap in the distributer.

If you want to maximise the effort of ripping just hold your saw perpendicular to the grain. Your going to be cutting the toughest part of timber, the ends of the wood fibers. Angle the cut back as far as you can then rock it forward as far as you can. And if your in a vice tip the plank off vertical. Some of these so called pro tutors are a joke.

Do you recall which way the retaining screw turns that holds the winder butterfly on? Mine is frozen and I don't want to force it the wrong way. Logically it should be a reverse thread since the winder turns anti-clockwise.

@@DIY-DaddyO It's ok, don't worry, I've figured it out. After a drop of penetrating oil and 24 hrs it unscrewed easily clockwise. Clock now fully restored. Thanks.

I must say this seems a lot more effective than shouting at the car then whacking it with a large tree branch. Also very pleasantly surprised to see that George Clooney has a penchant for the classic British vehicle.

There where times when I was tempted. Great little car mind you. One of the club members drove one to Russia where he met a girl and drove her to her house… in China. Had to change the points halfway. Epic motoring.

Even better idea-put that in there, only light the chimney with newspaper first. Give it a couple minutes. Then use the heat gun (or a small fan). The paper will get the lower layer lit enough where air causes the fire to really spread. I’d image you’d be ready to dump in 5 minutes.
