For now base sliders, me and the person playing this league usually do the first 3 years of all madden with base sliders then adjust once we are consistently beating teams by more than one score. Me and him having been doing leagues like this for years and finally decided we should try throwing them up on KZbin. Hopefully you stick around and enjoy!

@@Unlucky_GamingI’ll check it out, I find the all madden to be very easy this year. Thoughts?
@Unlucky_Gaming3 ай бұрын
Simple answer, yes. Long form answer... It was definitely tweaked from madden 23/24 which felt identical to me making 24 kinda boring. The throwing windows are definitely tighter on some throws you could make in College Football 25 or Madden 24. But then there are throws in this game you can make that were harder to make in previous games. Defensively it took me awhile to get used to how they tweaked the movement of linebackers so my user was pretty bad all of season one and most of season 2 of this franchise. I think the game will only get easier the more I play and the same should be the case for you. The more your football fundamentals grow the easier it is to win but there are also the moments where Madden just wants the other team to win which keeps things interesting. I would say I have fairly high level fundamentals but my decision making on fourth down strongly contradicts that lmao.

any tips for someone that’s new to madden and tuff vid bro
@Unlucky_Gaming7 ай бұрын
Thank you, once I am back in Chicago I will be making more videos so hopefully those find you and you enjoy them as well. I plan to make a video to answer your first question but I answered it down below as well. Regarding the tips for improvement, the simple answer is to play and finish games to learn how different scenarios break down. Long Answer If I were to start over I would start in Franchise. Start a Franchise as an average team and play on the difficulty that is usual for you. Once you beat teams consistently by 3 scores, go up in difficulty and repeat that until you get to All-Madden and try to get through seasons with less than 2 losses. This allows you to see the many situations football presents. Watching football whether it is High School or the NFL you can watch how certain scenarios break down and what coaches tend to do. This also can help you figure out what kind of Offense and Defense you like to work in. On offense I have learned that I like short/medium passing with opportunities to go deep if needed and a zone run scheme. On defense, you will have to determine what you like coverage wise based on what you user. I would recommend starting out learning how to user defensive ends/on the ball linebackers, then learn how to user safety, then linebacker. That way you can user at all three levels of the field and can be on a position you can play if you end up in a scenario where you are stuck on a player that you dont want to user. (This happens very frequently, usually when I switch formations I will get swapped to my slot corner and wont notice, then when im trying to get back to linebacker I will get stuck on a safety or Dlineman when the play starts). I would also recommend spending time in online head-to-head or in MUT Draft. Those are my favorite ways to play against other people as I am not too fond of ultimate team anymore. Mixing those should lead to long term progress. Hopefully this helps, I plan to make a video on this because I'm sure you are not the only person who would like information like this.

Good show. Cheers Thomas! What's this about personal finance? Were you on the subreddit for that?
@Unlucky_Gaming9 ай бұрын
First off thank you! Links Awakening should be releasing in about a week. Secondly, I used to post content related to finance. Mainly just updates on my portfolio and thoughts on the economy. I felt like my background in Finance, (current college major) Accounting, and Economics (current double minors) would aid in creating a video that has opinions backed behind education and work experience. I had ideas to do more than just portfolio updates but they never came to fruition because I never really put the time aside to do them. I would love to revive that idea and create a different channel for it to live on but I don't see a time in the short term where I can make that possible. (If I were to switch to finance content I would likely either have to pause this channel or post less frequently). Third, I tend to stay off reddit when it comes to personal finance. I tend to read books, newspapers, and keep tabs on Dave Ramsey's show. I think reddit is a good place to get perspective of others but I personally wouldn't take advice from reddit.

@jamesgehman875810 ай бұрын
I know youre already done, because you're uploading after the fact, but here are a couple tips on combat. Once you have the "down-thrust", use the hell out of it. That gets you the platformer trope of jumping on a baddy's head for damage, you just have to use your sword. And if it doesn't damage, it usually will get you past the baddy without injury: you basically bounce off of them. This allows you to bypass some of the more annoying enemies, especially in random encounters. Also, you need to jump-slash all those iron knuckle / knight guys. Don't trade blows standing face-to-face. As you approach, do a small jump and attack as you descend (not a down-thrust, a normal forward attack). You're basically trying to stab them in the visor slit, so you have to be slightly elevated above their shield. Once you master that technique, you can burn through the orange and red guys in a well timed series of attacks, since they get knocked back allowing you to press the attack. The blue guys suck, because they're ranged, but it just requires more patience to advance while blocking. Oh, and this is a small one, but don't walk through the swamps in those random encounters; hop through them. You move faster that way.
@Unlucky_Gaming10 ай бұрын
I am pretty sure most of this information I learned during episode 6 as I got fed up with the knuckles. The additional tips are greatly appreciated, I would love any you have for Link to the Past as that is going to be uploaded soon.

the 'reflect' spell on top of enabling your physical shield to reflect the wizrobe beams, also enables your physical shield to block most stuff now, that it couldn't before: fireballs, axes and maces (both melee and thrown), and etc

yes, zelda 1, came as 2 games in 1, having a "2nd quest" ("new game plus") within it, with an alternate-set of over-world (its dungeons' and items' locations), dungeons, and item locations either, you just use 'zelda' as your name, or, you beat the game, and then you should have link holding a sword, meaning that you'll be playing the "2nd quest" if you choose to play that character/game/save file again a lot of new people to zelda 1, have no idea about this at all... (note that in the "2nd quest", there's invisible walls in the dungeons, same center location in the wall as with the bomb holes, but all you do, is to try to walk through them: keep pushing in the direction of the wall, and some invisible walls are 2 ways, but some are only 1 ways, as well too) --------------------- and if you really want a challenge, there's the original fan-made mod-hack for zelda 1: Zelda C: Outlands // but since it's so old, you have to be really careful as there's likely a lot of fake/malicious files of it now, make sure you find a legit file of it (the legit file, does use a hack to create it, so your anti-virus will detect it, but if it is a legit file, it's a false flag, as the hack was just used to create the fan-made mod game) there used to be an official website for it too, with some help and hints, but that was long ago, and it's not been maintained, so it doesn't exist anymore, unfortunately which is really done well, that "C" is for challenge... grins
@redmoonbloodmoon316111 ай бұрын
there is NO "new game plus" in zelda 2, as all that happens if you replay a file that you beat the game, you start the EXACT same game over, but you start with your stat levels from when you beat the game, so it just lets you replay the EXACT same game over, more quickly, as you already got high or max stats

talk to the slime ~5 times (do NOT exit the building, as it resets the counter) in saria town (3rd town, life spell town, entrance into death mountain region), for its clue on where to find bagu // talking to npcs multiple time was a common "trope" in early rpgs, as little kids, we understood, to "pester" someone (our parents, or an npc in a rpg), until we get something (that we wanted) out of it, laughs the game (like with zelda 1), does provide clues/hints for beating the game (getting through the entire game, and finding/getting everything), but you got to find those npcs within the towns (and for zelda 1, within the overworld and dungeons, lol) the "walking" npcs across the town screens, are random, yet some do provide the hints/clues needed to fully complete the game, along with the obvious npcs within the buildings, lol on the eastern continent ('s 4 towns), there's invisible npcs within some empty buildings, wink // I don't think there's any invisible npcs on the western continent ('s 4 towns), but could be wrong ---------------- max stats: "8-8-8" (attack-magic-"life") once you get to the "8-8-8" max stats, every 9,000 exp (lvl up), you get a free life the 'attack' stat is your damage done to monsters/bosses the 'magic' stat reduces the cost of casting the spells // (don't worry, as it's set reduction levels for all of the 8 spells, even if you don't have them yet) the "life" stat is your defense (reduces damage taken) ------------------- max life bar: 8 (start with 4 squares, so there's 4 heart containers to find in the world) max magic bar: 8 (start with 4 squares, so there's 4 magic containers to find in the world) each life/magic square is 32 units, but just because the graphic looks like a square is full, it may not be (having less than the 32 units of a full square), usually from the magic drain from the flying skulls ("anti-fairies") in the dungeons -------------------- each town (and there's 8 towns) has a "wise man" (a new spell to learn, and so there's 8 spells to learn), but except for 'rauru' town (to the right of zelda's castle, the first town) (the 'shield' spell) which you get for free, you got to do a "fetch quest" for it first --------------------- number of spells <= number of magic squares (your magic bar), so you start the game with 4 magic squares, meaning you can learn (any) 4 spells, but to learn a 5th spell, you need to find a magic container, to learn a 6th spell, another (your 2nd) magic container, to learn a 7th spell, yet another (your 3rd) magic container is needed to be found/gotten, and for the 8th (last spell, which will be having all of the spells), a final (your 4th) magic container is required ------------------- spell usage makes the game much easier, use spells liberally, don't worry about preserving your magic, as the few spots that require a full magic bar for some certain spell, when you find them, now you'll know, when you come back there (as you probably died), lol ------------------- progress in the game is exp (raising your stats), as with higher stats, the game is easier, and it'll be easier to get back to where you were ----------------------- all the 3 stats are equal, so just take them as you get them, especially as it's so easy to game over, and lose your exp points, it's really not worth the risk at all, and again, no stat is really better than any other stat (if you really want to get technical, at the veteran level, the 'attack' stat is the least useful, and at the expert level, even the 'life'=defense stat isn't useful, as you almost never get hit, laughs, so, if really want to get technical, the order of stat importance: magic > "life"=defense > attack, unfortunately, a lot of new players, think that the 'attack' stat is the most important, and it is extremely helpful for new players, who struggle against the monsters and bosses, but it's really not more useful than "life"=defense, and especially not magic, though a lot of new players, don't use their spells much either, trying to conserve their magic bar, just making the game even harder for them) --------- blue jars: replenishes 32 units (1 magic square) red jars: replenishes XX (it's a set amount: more than 32x1 but less than 32x8, I think, or maybe it's just a bit more than 32x8, meh), but never yet tracked down exactly how much though) units, so it doesn't just/merely "replenishes your entire magic bar", it depends, as again, it's a set amount. Also, once your magic bar is filled up fully, it stops, even if the amount refilled was less than the set amount of magic replenishment from the red jar, and so there's a trick with this mechanic, to get the full amount of the red jar's magic replenishment -------- the 'shield' spell doubles your defense, it's the most powerful spell in the game (and its cheap in magic cost too), use it constantly, and BEFORE you engage (before you get hit/take damage), to get it's full benefit/power (which is better than using the 'life' spell, which only replenishes 3 life squares for a ton of magic cost)
