Your explanation about English reductions is so good, clearly and engaging. Many people in the US tend to speak so quickly and that's pretty normal but the main problem begins with having conversations with native English speakers for the first time. Many natives would have a hard time when speaking with non-native speakers because as a foreigner, I would never understand the strange way how most of them talk in informal situations. I could grasp what you were saying perfectly well after learning English for almost six years. Spoken English is actually very fast but I can understand many Americans, Canadians and Brits in formal settings and we should remember that English is a highly idiomatic language. Thanks a lot after all, that was very kind of you.

This advanced vocab lesson was really helpful to enhance my English as I learned a lot. I knew only two words from the list. Keep making such lessons with good example sentences.

Watching the news requires a high level of English at least B2. I would go for listening to podcasts as they're easier to comprehend. Learning as many as possible phrasal verbs are very important to boost one's fluency. Thanks for sharing your tips.

you said many people use a lot of reductions all the time but would they be giving a bad impression if they used them in a formal setting like for instance talking with a potential employer?
@captainingles79810 ай бұрын
I personally try to be as articulate as possible in professional settings or when I am meeting someone for the first time. I would say for a potential employer you should definitely try to speak as clearly as possible. Thank you for watching the video!!
