Only thing I’m gonna disagree with is that weak necks cause concussions. Bullshit. Respect Louie but call bullshit on that one.

About his opinion, on opinions: I'm just making conversation. Most people are. Totally respect someone ignoring what I say, why should they care? I also don't think they should get mad, again why should they care? If people didn't give opinions they wouldn't be able to even talk about the weather.

@old man strength Aw that sucks you got banned! I was looking for you just the other day but couldn't find you and that explains why I guess. I never saw the WPO doc, if it ever came out. I've been looking around for it myself. I'm not sure if it was ever actually finished. I looked on IMDB for "Westside vs. The World", which you can watch in a few different places. The director's name is Michael Fahey. He only has one credit to his name and that's for the Westside doc.
@maxxxmodelz40612 жыл бұрын
@old man strength What is your current program like? Are you currently running conjugate or some variation? I just had shoulder surgery for some skin cancer I had right on the shoulder joint, so that impacted my training the past month but I should be good to go again soon. If I didn't have stitches right on the shoulder joint, I would have trained through it.
@maxxxmodelz40612 жыл бұрын
@old man strength Thank you!! I'll sub to your new channel so I don't lose track of you. I appreciate that tip and will look into it! Man, I hope you get that record! As we talked about before, I was gonna shoot for the 198lb State record on the bench this year in PA. There's a meet in June I believe, but I don't know now if I'll be ready for it. I was in striking distance before the surgery, but will have to see where I'm at now when I return. I'll definitely look into that peptide! What's your opinion of Turkesterone? I was thinking about that too, but evidence about it is real sketchy. Might just be placebo effect, although testimonials are highly rated for it.
@maxxxmodelz40612 жыл бұрын
@old man strength Excellent. Yeah, I follow MPMD and Vig Steve I think. I'm really curious about it and what you said about your wife's strength increase really has me excited about trying it soon. How much did she take during that "cycle" so to speak? 1000mg a day or...? And how long was she on? Since it's not on any ban lists yet, it couldn't hurt to try it out I suppose.

Impressed that Coker disagreed with Louie openly about the importance of chest development in the bench press. Obviously, Louie is talking about geared lifting. The chest is virtually taken out of the lift when geared in multi-ply. However, in raw or even single ply, the chest is a hugely important component for speed accelleration and power out of the bottom. I do think that arms and lats are 75% of any bench press, but you need a strong chest for optimal results too. Plus, having a big chest helps with reducing the bar path distance.
@henrykjohn782 жыл бұрын
Anyone with a big chest will be a strong bench presser
@maxxxmodelz40612 жыл бұрын
@@henrykjohn78 Not necessarily. You can build a decent size chest on machines but if you ignore your lats and triceps, you will have an underwhelming bench press. Triceps need extra work if you want to get a really impressive bench.
@henrykjohn782 жыл бұрын
@@maxxxmodelz4061 well define a decent chest size? Relatively ofc. Yes true those are accessories but history has shown: you can build up to a huge weight without working on your weakpoints or accessories. It's primarily a CHEST exercise, thus big chest (from benching I assume) will mean big weight Ofc you should always work accessories, a strong back is ESSENTIAL
@maxxxmodelz40612 жыл бұрын
@@henrykjohn78 I'm just going by what I have seen in the gym. Lots of fitness guys have good chest development from doing cables, flys, dumbbells, etc, but their bench is relatively weak, and the sticking point is almost never off the chest but half way to lockout. Triceps take over most of the bench at the point where your elbows pass your body plane. From midpoint to lockout is at least 70% tricep strength, unless you're taking a really wide grip on the bar. If you build your tricep strength, you'll likely increase your bench and break sticking points.
@henrykjohn782 жыл бұрын
@@maxxxmodelz4061 Bench Press is the best Chest Exercise. Thus I am assuming one does it alot, to have a big chest from it would indicate that they have a strong Bench Yes people grip way too wide And yes Triceps and tricep extensions are so important!
