If I ever come across someone as Sheldon I'll never befriend him. I'll make sure that he gets to know how arrogant adamant and pain in the ass he is. Knowledge has no persuit if the person in the end becomes arrogant about it. Knowledge makes people humble.. Rewatching this series i understood how on point Amy's confession was in the last episode.. she made it clear how they tolerated him when he was never a good friend to anyone

Enough with the “no embarrassment; let it all hang out mentality.” If a woman has any sense of “class and modesty” - it should be done “in private.”

Physicists are the philosophers of the scientific world; they sit around all day trying to figure out the meaning of everything (they just do it with equations rather than circular reasoning). At the end of the day they have accomplished absolutely nothing of value (intrinsic or otherwise). Meanwhile, engineers apply extensive training and equations (many of which were invented by chemists, mathematicians and other engineers) to the creation of things (from cars to bridges to drones to cameras and weapons of mass destruction). Probably the greatest mind of the past century, Nikola Tesla, was an engineer. The minds that sent man to the moon, built the telescopes used to view the farthest reaches of the galaxy, constructed the most terrifying weapons in history, and devised the means (both physical and otherwise) by which all of us are viewing this clip were engineers.

The person who posted this isn't as smart as either, physicists doesn't have an apostrophe unless it is possessive, otherwise it's plural.🤓

The definition of smart is hard. Physicists are smarter in the way of thinking more abstract and coming up with new theories, while engineers are more smart at being practical. But bc being able to think more abstract is rarer in humans than being practical, many people would consider physicists being more smart, bc they seem more special

A group of young students entering a technical college are brought into the gym to separate the Engineers from the Scientists. Boxes with the amount of tuition of their freshman year contained within them are placed on the other side of the room. The students are told they can cross the gym and take possession of one of the boxes with one condition…they can only cross by halves, half the distance then half of that, etc. The scientists immediately leave because they know it’s theoretically impossible while the Engineers realize while it is theoretically impossible nonetheless they can get close enough for practical purposes.

Once they gave a red ball to a mathematician, physicist and an engineer. And asked them to measure its volume. A mathematician took very precise measurements with a ruler and then took a triple integral. Physicist filled a beaker with water and threw the ball inside the beaker, then measured the water displacement. An engineer went to find a “Red Ball Table” to look up its volume.
