Hi, which lens do you recommend out of all your Schneider Kreuznach Cinegon lenses? Schneider Cinegon 11,5mm F1.9 Schneider Cinegon 10mm f.1.9 Schneider Cinegon Xenon 16mm f2 I Just bought a BMPCC OG and love the look of the Cinegon, however online people say that some models do not work. I would love to get an equivalent focal length between 25-50mm, but due to the fact that is a C Mount Lens I need to to crop a bit. Do you know which lense out of these is the best to use or you like the most? Also what Adapter did you use to make it work?

I have a cine xenon 16mm,25mm lens so I am sorry but I cannot advise you. By the way, I use this adapter to convert from C-mount to MFT. kipon.de/shop/adapter/mechanische-adapter/c-mount-mft/

I think I've watched most of your videos and I really appreciate your vision and perspective. Very inspiring! It seems your more often posting og rather then 4k footage. Which one of them would you prefer? Do you rig both of them or not? I got really inspired and now wanna try one of them myself, but I cannot decide which one to try! The og seems more portable and compact on pair with this unique look, but I love the quality and features of 4k too haha
@dm_ch_20222 ай бұрын
I really like both cameras, but I would still choose the OG for easy carrying. The small size is a big attraction. However, depending on your preference, I think there is quite a bit of difference in image quality: 4K is clearly cleaner, and I feel that the OG has more character, although the image quality is less.

Which speedbooster did you use? Or did you just attach the lens to the camera? I want to use the bmpcc og with the 0.58x speedbooster and on top of that a 0.45x wide angle adapter, ever tried that?

Great test. Your sensor appears to have some dirt, as the shots show from 0:13 till 0:23. I agree with you about the ISO settings. The lower the ISO the better the image will be. When I had the first BMPCC, I experienced noise at low light, when I had the ISO at 400. With BMPCC4K I always set it to 100 no matter what, so that I don't have any issues with noise and it works fine, as long as the lighting is correct. Have you applied any kind of grain in post ? What kind of software did you use ? Looks incredibly filmic. You're talking about sharp images, but that really shouldn't be the point. With that kind of cinematic images, the softer the image the better the aesthetics. What is OG by the way ?
@dm_ch_20223 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment. I agree. I used to be concerned about noise and setting the ISO, but I prefer to keep the ISO as low as possible because it improves all quality, not just the noise issue. It is a very obvious thing, but I reaffirmed it. I also learned the importance of lighting and natural light. OG stands for original.

Good on ya, Mate. Recording with log files is not possible on the iPhone SE, right? Are ProRes codec and Rec.709 recordings still meaningful for post-processing? If I record with the HEVC (H.265) codec, will it be saved as 10bit? Cheers mate, I wish there were more add-on lens case accessories for the Iphone SE.
@dm_ch_20222 ай бұрын
That's right. You can only record in PRORES, but the image quality is better than h264 and the color adjustment range is wider, so it's good.

If someone wanted to shoot this completely raw handheld and just use the footage directly from camera without any color grading or editing, do you think that's a realistic goal?
@dm_ch_20225 ай бұрын
I'm using the web translation function, so I didn't understand what you were saying very well, sorry. Is it realistic to use RAW footage as-is as a video work without doing anything with it?’ Is that what you are asking?
@wholeheartedsongs5 ай бұрын
@@dm_ch_2022 yes thanks for the reply. That's exactly what I'm asking. I want to use this camera by itself with one lens and no tripod and get good footage without any post processing or editing.
@dm_ch_20225 ай бұрын
@@wholeheartedsongs If you want to use that technique, this camera has a video mode and we recommend using that setting. This way, colour grading is unnecessary. The cinematic atmosphere will be a little less (less colour data) in video mode than in RAW mode, but you might get a good atmosphere if you use old lenses and so on. There are many videos on KZbin that compare RAW mode and video mode, which may be helpful.
@dm_ch_20225 ай бұрын
Incidentally, if you don't do any editing in RAW mode, the image will be almost colourless, so you can't use it as it is. You may also consider using the free camera APP from blackmagic. It's a very good app.
