That beautiful retired, content machine has been sat there chillin, loving life and you come along and mess with it.....a little bit of care would have been nice...slamming down those split hood cover's like that was upsetting.

Since when did any 864 bevel have mikuni carbs. Not mine, nor any others. That is a mongrel pup.

Yes. 2 sets of Dellorto carbs and stock parts included.

Nice bike. It was on sale in Europe during 1979, because they couldn't compete with the Jap bikes. Only the connoisseurs bought Ducati then. There were also some issues with the reliability of the desmodromic valve system.

Pretty sweet machine. I think, if it were mine, I'd paint it schoolbus yellow and turn it into a motor home. Also I think a small block Chevrolet V-8 will fit that engine compartment.

You Americans seem to build quite a lot of things out of "aloominum". Here in England we have a metal called "aluminium". Could it be one and the same?

Why not just cut out the top and leave the sides?

Would compromise structural integrity. I just wanted a pickup truck like Element. Next cheap Element I find maybe would cut all the windows/doors and just have the windscreen. Drive for awhile and see if the doors close. I think UNIBODY would need some cross bracing.

Elemino - Winter Moto setup - Honda Element: m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJ7YnYidiKybh6c No security. I have many types of ways to haul Motos. I drilled some drain holes for water/rain and spray out. I can safely haul without super fear of theft where I live in Montana.

Now what about the elements getting in the element? Ever think about some sort of diy soft topper? Do you drive this as a daily driver or strictly for dirt biking? For obvious reasons of theft I’d be concerned but also dirt and rain.
