This is a very antiquated method of training a dog and rarely produces intense style or reliability.

I agree. The dog is left to creep closer and closer on his own. Leads to bumping birds out of range when in a real hunting situation. He should be using remote control bird releases. I would physically pick my young dog up and remove him as soon as he found scent and went on point. I did this till he knew what the "Whoa" commend was and obeyed it. If he got to close, I'd release the bird until he learned that to close was never going to get him a bird to retrieve.

Ja także mam setera szkockiego, nazywa się Bora i ma około dwa i pół roku. Chciałbym z nią spacerować tak fajnie, ale nie mam pomysłu, a poza tym zbliża się zima. W okolicy są same pole i nie ma zbyt wielu miejsc.
