Hey Rob, quite neat to see the wide range of your talents. I really love the postcard that you used for your superb creation of a British Grenadier. And I'm very impressed with the Hover bike--something quite different! As always, it's a treat to see what you've been building and painting. All the best.

Hi as an ex member of A Bty 1RHA you have your uniform colours wrong appart from the Overalls , due to the expensive dyes fixed dyes were not used alot in military uniforms at the time of the Napolionic wars , what was used but 1RHA was the same colour dye as the Royal Navy when first isued the riding britches and Hussar jacket and coat were of a deep blue so deep it appeared black and fayded to a lighter blue in the sun and due to washing but not to the light blue you used but to the dark Royal Navy blue . The overalls were made of canvas dyed dark gray but with used lightened there was no red stripe along the outer edge but a row of buttons . They were made of heavy canvas this was for couple of reasons the main one was for the drivers to cover the Iron Maiden they wore on there right leg to protect them from getting crushed from the chain Chases also to protect there riding britches from being stained from gun powder that was washed and scrubbed from the bore being the sponge head of the rammer , it was easyer for the saddler to make overalls than have a tailer make new riding britches not only the sadler but alot of the Gunner were handy with th sail makeing palm awal and flute and needle as most guns would travel and be stored in a gun cover nick named the Eliphant cover due to its shape also breach and mussle covers were made and used this was the minimal cover used to keep dirt and water out of the barrel and touch hole later breeches

One minor issue with the build. The prop disc seems rather oversize. As it stands, as soon as the tail wheel lifts the prop would hit the ground. Otherwise the finish is pretty good for such a small model.

Super cool. A Bf109. In 1/144 scale perhaps? I Love how your executed the livery on such a small scale. Galland of course is one of the most famous of Teheran Lufwaffe pilots. Your Galland bust is the icing on the cake. Super. 👍👍

Got the same book by Rene North. It was the very first Napoleonic Wars book on uniforms that I ever borrowed from the local library, and I quickly bought my own copy. A bit dated now, but still have a soft spot for it.

Rob, thanks so much for sharing what you've finished recently as well as what's on your workbench. I really like those figures from the Sudan. I'll bet they'd look great with a matt varnish as an alternative way to go although I understand that you wanted them to be part of your "Toy Soldier Collection" so gloss is the way to go. Always great to see a video on your channel.. looking forward to more. Cheers.

I think your right Mark maybe I should have left them mat although they look better in the flesh than on film, many thanks for your advice. Im always greatfull for comments good or bad, thats how we improve. Rob 👍

@@historyinminiatures6784 I think the figures look great glossy and I didn't mean to suggest that it would be better to use another finish. Of course you might spray one of the figures with matt varnish just as a comparison and then return it to the original glossy clear coat. Once in a while I use different types of varnish, notably with my Australian Light Horse Trooper, I finished the trooper in matt and used a satin clear coat on his horse. Cheers!
