Aren't those considered a "Log Style" Manifold ? Probably has to be made that way for Underhood clearance issues. I would think this type of Header is creating lot's of Back pressure Needs some more Primary Length !

When you say floating and anchored, I'm assuming that you mean some of the tubes are welded solidly to the collector outright? For example, if I'm building a header for a VW (flat four), I could weld two fixed tubes to the collector for the nearby head, and have the tubes coming from the far head floating with double slips? For the fixed tubes, do you use the double slip sleeve or just weld them directly with one joint?

Is that collector strong enough to hold up a turbo? The thickness I’ve seen available is 16G which seems awful thin for holding up to the weight of a turbo

Of all the videos I've watched regarding this LSV12 engine yours is the best at showing the parts and the fabrication. Thank you. Most of the other videos have a 3:1 ratio of talking head time to video of the engine time. That doesn't even cover the fast cut-a-ways or the wide shots that don't show the details on this awesome looking engine. Again, thank you for a great video. By the way, don't forget to ground the part you're holding before you begin your tac weld, lol! I loved that valuable lesson at your expense at the end. Sorry, but that was damn funny.
