As a mainland Chinese, I respect Queen Elizabeth II. She was a responsible monarch, reaching out to the public during crisis and bolstering public trust and cooperation among societies both domestically and internationally. She might not be as influential in political decisions and civil policies, but as a ceremonial monarch, she did her part very well. I still remember the scene in the Minions where the Queen's carriage was driven by minions. Those were good memories of my childhood. May the British and Chinese people set aside their differences, and mutually support each other in the new era. Rest in peace, Queen Elizabeth II.
