Transcribed the English subtitles for convenience of citing. 需要英文文字版文献的可以参考(打中文太慢了 我懒)btw please don't tell me there is a text version somewhere and that I wasted half an hour Lanyu Seascapes "if I live tomorrow, let's see." Traditionally, the natives of Lanyu never speak of what they plan to do the next day or in the near future. The appreciation of the impermanence of nature inspires a life where one lives from moment to moment. In 1982, the state owned Taiwan Power Company spotted the island of Lanyu to build a temporary nuclear waste storage facility on its coast. They told the local people that were building a fish cannery. Today, even after many protests and news reports, the facility continues to operate with many eroded barrels and radioactive leaks seeping into the sea. Now with the fourth nuclear power plant being built in Taiwan, the fate of the natives on Lanyu remains unknown. Shi Na Paradna My son Simina Gogolo lost his soul at the sea. He laid in bed for three days without eating or drinking. I went to the boy's grandfather for his advice. He taight me how to call my child's soul back. I prepared a bamboo stick and went to the sea. I called out to the sea- Shi jyarana shi jyarana paradni mina Gogolo. Shi na paradna. Shi na paradna. It means, "come back! Come back! Gogolo's soul! Follow mw! Folow me!" When I returned home, the boy still didn't wake up. Then I went to another place called Jipanatosan. There I treid again to call my son's soul back. Shi na paradna. Shi na paradna. Gogolo. Shi na paradna. Shi na paradna! I used my stick for the soul to grab it and hang on to it. This is our traditional ritual. When I returned home this time, I heard th eboy sneeze. Then I knew that the boy's soul has returned. He startd to ask for food again, and we're very happy that the boy finally woke up. Hair Dance The boats decorated by feathers gather on the sea. Is there a boat that belongs to us? You, don't be left brhind. You must be the first to return from the sea. Let them bring the ghost-head sword fish home. You, don't be left behind. You must e the first to return from the sea. Let them bring the ghost-head sword fish home. Let me welcome them in the yard. With my coral necklace hanging. I pray. You must be the first to return from the sea. Let them bring the ghost-head sword fish home. You don't be let behind. You must be the first to return from the sea. Let them bring the ghost-head sword fish home. Let me welcome them in the yard. With my coral necklace hanging. I pray. My gols is heacy like a stone. Ans my silver bracelet too. Luckily, I already chpped the wood to celebrate the flying fish season.
