If one feels like they want to use substances, cannabis would be a go-to for me instead of morphine. It can "turn off" the selfing the same way that morphine apparently can do as well. Not that I'm really recommending either but morphine can have pretty severe addiction potential and other side effects so... But anyway, of course it's not about the apparent body being dependent on some substance or circumstance etc...
