One of my all time songs from one of my favorite musicians. Saw them at Ashokan Ukulele Fest.

This is as good as Mary Black's version. Better, perhaps, since it's recorded live.

II really wish this song, along with :"Where Have All The Flowers Gone" and "My Son John" were played at 9/11 and on Armistice Day. Maybe a few people would listen and get it.

Thank you both. Lovely version of this very touching song; beautifully played and sung. Prompted to look for it as I've heard a couple of very good versions recently at Denby Dale Folk Club.

First this is not a Celtic tune, it was written by New England fiddle teacher Amy Cann, second, it's really a dance tune that is higher octane than is played here. This version is pretty but not the tune that people dance to

This is SO great! John Byrne can really sing and the band is also fantastic, when JB isn't singing acapella, which is very difficult to do, but not for JB.
