With the mulch - do you place it just one side - that is enough ? - or around the tree up to aprox the space of a hand around the trunk ?

If you have applied nematodes in previous years they should still be in the soil. If the nematodes are not still in the soil you should stop using the powders and potions that kill other things. Half of the things that go wrong in any garden are due to the crap that you apply because every body else uses it.

If nematodes dry out, they die. Things like bacillus subtillus that are spore forming soil bacteria need only one application as in times of drought or high heat they sporulate to save their lives. Nematodes will die if it is sunny out when you apply so choose a rainy day or do it in the evening and water in at night. Here watering permits are required as you must keep the soil damp for two weeks for them to complete their job.

Instead of pot in pot, what would happen if you just used pots sitting on ground ? What is the benefit of keeping the pots below ground level ? And if the pots had to be below ground level, could you not just put it in a trench ? I could not understand the need for a permanently fixed pot in ground. Thanks for replying.
@VinnyChirayil
@VinnyChirayil 4 жыл бұрын
@Pith Helmet ... yes thats 1 reason. biggest benefit seems to be that the pots do not tilt & fall over in wind. the pot makes it instantly sellable without transplant shock. there were a few other benefits that i discovered later but now i forget
