That is so elegant. I'm halfway through your ruffled red and green wreath. I went very large and it's taking a long time. So if I do this one it will be a more reasonable size. I've learnt my lesson.

Hi there Caroline, but its fun though. this one is only 2 rounds and only 2 different stitches, so much much faster 🙂 oh and would look gorgeous in chunky yarn! xx

Lovely design, but it was created by Michael Sellick of The Crochet Crowd many years ago. The only difference is he used a coat hanger for the ring, which isn’t as stable as a solid ring.
@HandmadebyDiana2 күн бұрын
It may have been created/shown by some else as well, i make my hair scrunchies this way and thought it could be done on a ring, there are many tutorials out there that are done similar or the same as others. you can adapt it however you want.

Thank you for this review. I was going to purchase this thinking it would be okay for a beginner but after seeing your video I have decided it seems much too complicated for my capabilities 😂. Your little one did turn out very lovely despite the challenges. Will be looking up a much easier tutorial on youtube instead. If you have any reccommendations for any,I'd love to know.

@HandmadebyDiana11 күн бұрын
Hi Cindy thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment, I am starting to develop arthritis , its no fun at all. the green was a "needles" brand here in Aus, and the red was a "super value" both acrylic. sorry i know that doesnt help. xx

Crocheting mine now- tried two different approaches with the bow. Ended up making a bow with a length of crocheted chain. I also used my 4mm crochet hook, thanks for the heads up on possibility of yarn shortage. I have left over lighter brown from the other kit of pudding and reindeer…(and that’s a whole other story of instruction interpretation with that one.) I stitched my cane into the curve and stitched the stripes rather than just winding. Your gingerbread interpretation is terrific!!
@HandmadebyDiana12 күн бұрын
Hi there Tracy, oh thank goodness it wasnt just me with that weird bow lol, i have yet to open my reindeer & pudding but i will be doing a review on that too! stitching your cane in is a great idea! thank so much for watching and leaving a comment for me xx
@kelseywarhurst530611 күн бұрын
How did you go with the reindeers antlers? I’m struggling with that now.. 😂
@tracyh646611 күн бұрын
@@kelseywarhurst5306 fiddly as!! I made the first section and fastened off, then fiddling with the size made the second piece-how can just one stitch make such a difference?- but didnt fasten off. Then, plike the legs, begin crocheting into and around the last row of the first antler to join together. The stitch count given is correct but if I couldnt quite make it and was ‘out’ one I continued on and fudged it. I continued crocheting around but did it as a continuous row without a slip stitch to join each row. It is tiny and one of my antlers is a stitch bigger at the end but honestly, are all antlers created equal? Dont sweat the very small stuff 😘. At the end of the day once sewn on you really dont notice. Hope this makes sense. 🤞🏻. Oh, by the way, I had three kits to make three of each and ran out of the brown yarn on my last reindeer so that one has just the first 5 stitch antler section for three rows and it looks rather cute….antlers dont grow big overnight so this one is younger!😘 Could be an easier solution if you struggle with the pattern. Best of luck. It will look great either way. Cheers.
