I just got that same enclosure because my wolf spider got way bigger than I anticipated and he needs more space. I wish they lived longer, they are my absolute favorite spider and they just don’t live long enough.

I don’t like when somebody decides to get a pet reptile and whine about feeding live. It happens in the wild every day.

Brother, im sorry to say this but clean your tank at least once a week. Your substrate looks dirty and your sand bed is not thick enough (it depends on how thick) and your corals dont look so happy. Im just wondering, how often you do a water change?

Can lobster roaches infest?
@mrcrawlingstv
@mrcrawlingstv 6 ай бұрын
With the proper environment most roach species can infest. I recommend tong feeding these and keeping them in an enclosure with a tight fitting lid and petroleum jelly around the top of the holding container.

The only place you can get them now is at a reptile expo or online. There are a few groups working on breeding them in captivity, but since they stopped importing them, many choose to hold onto theirs so they can build a breeding group.

You shouldn’t be feeding frozen thawed imo, but another opinion could easily be different and I’m not going to say I’m definitely right. I just find it hard to believe frozen thawed has the same nutrition, also, it defies what all professional advice tells us: live is best. If the reason is ethical then that’s gonna vary from individual to individual but I just want to share my opinion by saying you’re still getting a mouse killed whether it was killed by you or dead frozen on arrival it’s still an animal dying in the name of your animal getting fed. I think it’s too Surface level thinking to think feeding live is morally wrong because I think that argument can extend to even having a pet bearded dragon in general. We are satiating our want to keep wild animals as pets so we rectify the immorality of that by captive breeding, that way we don’t have pet prisoners. Sane with mice, in my opinion, they’re captive bred to be eaten and unable to reproduce.

Exotic animal nutrition has become my new passion and you are correct. Variety is the spice of life but the amount that people over use one particular food out of convenience causes deficiencies or excesses that cause damage to the internal organs. Infact I hope to publish a paper on my studies in the near future. It will be available on my website as a blog first though.

The tortoise shell grows between each scute and that’s where it comes in as, and as that color, a lot of times in comes in white and will be flaky to the touch, and depending on the animal sometimes you get marbled looking animals hope this helps 👍 baby is looking healthy (:
