I listened today to a Maundy Thur service that brought out the point that many were on their way to the temple to sacrifice their Passover Lambs and prob passed by the site of crucifixtion . Their lambs were being slaughtered at the same time that Jesus died-/3 o’clock. Makes you wonder what it was like at that moment in the temple when the veil was torn and the darkness and earthquake struck.

Hi Christine! Thank you for sharing. That is a powerful picture! I found the same as I was studying in different resources. I can’t imagine what Mary thought and felt as it all came to pass. It is so precious that He saw her and was concerned about her in His final moments and entrusted John with her care. Blessings!
