I am pretty short at 5ft 8 with a 31 leg and i ride an 07 heritage softail, i found bring the bars back so my shoulders were not hunched really stopped the bike from getting upset on overbanding (tar snakes). Also tyres and pressures will affect the feel too.

That is the Can-Am Adventure Adjustable Windshield. It's one of the most expensive Ryker windshield,, but I like it.

I’m very tempted to try and find one. Having such a reliable engine with smooth yet aggressive power and a more upright style is ideal to me. I’ll be curious to see how it fits being 6’4”. I’m Uber comfy on my vstrom 1000 but would love something along these lines as well.

Anyone who has riden an atv should feel at home on a Ryker, it’s a very similar experience. Especially the feeling on corners.

How is the wind protection (helmet noise especially) with the windshield extension? Have you thought about getting the touring windscreen?
@slowridertv
@slowridertv 15 күн бұрын
The touring windshield was temping but I hear a lot of people are not happy with it. The extension helps slightly. I feel it's well worth the $12 I paid for it, but it is still noisy enough that I feel the need to wear earplugs.

I had to give up on two wheelers due to the amputation of my right leg above the knee, the loss of feeling, muscle power and muscle memory and my balance wasn't anywhere as good as it once was. The Ryker offers me everything I could want on two wheels, but with the safety of an extra wheel. Many will say it's a million miles away from being like a two wheeler, but if you look at it with the point of view that you are doing what you used to do, but in a different way, it still puts a smile on your face.

I bought a used 2016 heritage in mint condition with only 9,500 miles on it for 11k bucks. WAY cheaper than a new 2024 at 26k bucks! But money wasn’t an issue. I like the old heritage model better than the new ones. I like the classic vintage looks. Mine is teal and white like the 1950s. Anyhow I absolute love it !! My traveling buddy rides a Vulcan S. We can’t make many miles bec he’s always so sore. My heritage is like a Cadillac. I can lean back and throw feet up on crash bars and ride all day long. Oh and the buddy bet me 50 bucks he could outrun the heritage since it’s a slow harley. I won but didn’t take his money 😂. He’s been very humble lately 😂.

Prices on the twin cam bikes have really tanked. Great for buyers. That low end torque can get the Harley moving pretty quick up to a certain speed. Mine came with an aftermarket seat which is like you said, a Cadillac ride. I’m curious does your Heritage have an aftermarket seat?

@@slowridertv No, im still on the factory seat. I find it quite good for a stock seat. I have been considering a upgrade though. The Saddleman explorer seat is the one i got my eye on. But havent quite felt the need for one yet. I took a 4 day trip to smokey mountians last weekend on it and done very well. I used my travel bag as a backreset. I could lean back and remain comfy for quite awhile. About 80 to 100 miles im ready to get off a few mins. 10 min break and im ready to roll again. But again i do have my eye on the saddleman explorer " road sofa" which has the pillow top look and a driver backrest on my radar. Ill prob take another long trip again before i decide. im wanting to ride out to colorado before summer ends. Ive never seen the rockies before. I never was one to care much about how fast a harley is. I like to cruise and relax. But yea that 103 high output will definitly get it moving pretty quick when I need it to! But i feel absolutely no need to pursue anything to make it faster or more powerful. Its got more than plenty already. ls

I'd say you're wrong about new sway bar end links not making any difference, judging by my personal experience. When I replaced mine, it increased the speeds I was comfortable with on my local rough roads by at least 5 mph. I don't think the problem was the material the OEM ones were made of, though. The swivels at each end were so stiff I had to place an end link in a vice and stick a long screwdriver through them, to move them. I could move the swivels on the new ones with the end of my little finger.... Later, changing out the sway bar added another 5 to 10 mph to my comfort zone. And I just received my steering stabilizer, so we'll see what that does....

The more you ride it the more comfortable you get. Rides like a quad in straight aways and a snowmobile in the turns. Two wheels are fun but you can enjoy the ride/scenery moreso with the three wheeler.

Gonna get one, soon! Didn't like the feeling on the highway moving around in my lane. Not a great ride on bumpy roads and will be using it on max setting, too. Rather have it more stable than easier turning. And I need a reminder to start working out again. 🙂

When I bought my GT (black like yours) last year, both the regular and 'touring' screen were included. The touring screen is quite good. Also, I see you have the shift lights enabled. I would suggest raising the thresholds on them so you aren't lighting up at 4500 RPM. The kind of hidden, but excellent feature (in my mind) is having the display switch automatically between night and day modes by using a photosensor in the dash.

This bike is fantastic! i got a 2024 in the daring red color. This bike is, THE BIKE. I took it 4,600 miles cross country after the first servicing and i had blast in the mountains, desert and everywhere else. Wouldn't of been the same on a harley.

Besides highway, I'm barely getting to use 6th gear. Majority of the time i'm doing even highway in 3rd - 4th. It loves that middle range-higher RPM.
