@luciussander8217 I can assure you a 1mm fluorocarbon leader won't snap and won't be bitten off by a Pike. If you don't believe me I'm sure you can trust all the professional anglers from Sweden and the Netherlands, who unlike me, catch double figure Pike on a regular basis on fluorocarbon leaders. I've been using fluorocarbon for 2 years with zero problems.

@DaveAyton8565 Hi Dave! Thank you mate, it is indeed cheaper to buy from Japan even including customs charges, I bought shimano reels from Japan before. The problem is if you are unfortunate enough to have a problem with one of your reels like I had, Shimano Europe won't touch your reel. I had to ship the reel to Japan, have someone send the reel to Shimano Japan, pay for the repair and pay to get the reel shipped back to me in the UK. Not very cheap let me tell you. The reel did come back to me feeling better than new but, it was expensive and took a very long time. So this time I decided to take the hit and pay the full price in the UK but have the peace of mind that if something happens, Predator Tackle will sort everything for me with Shimano. 🤜🏼🤛🏼

@@blankmasterfishing It is a bit of a gamble buying reels from some were like i.e Digitaka or Japan Lure shop, i myself have not had any issues but i can understand why you bought the reel in the UK.

@insearchofperch8170 Thanks bro! What still amazes me about this lure is the fact that it weights 95g, can feel as light as a fly jig in the water and act like one. I even added a 5g weight to the head at some point so I could get to the bottom faster. I could still use it on shallow waters no problem 🤜🏼🤛🏼

@insearchofperch8170 Thanks bro, I appreciate it!💪🏻 Listen, this will be another learning curve for me because let me tell you, you won't see me trying to measure a Pike on my kayak again, I'll just go to the bank to measure and get the photo, in my opinion it's better to waste 15min going to the bank during the comp and actually register the catch than wasting time catching the fish for nothing... every day is school day. If I manage to stop doing this stupid mistakes I'd probably manage to end in a good position. 🤜🏼🤛🏼

I wasn't even mad at losing the last one, I was fishing for perch on the dropshot at the time with a micro lure and had 4lb line on, I knew I couldn't put too much pressure on it or it would just bite me off so I was just waiting for it to get tired so I could have a chance of bringing it to the surface but in the end it started going straight to the trees so I had to put a bit more pressure to try to get it change direction but it started another good run and it was too much. At least it gave me a good fight and I enjoyed it! 🤜🏼🤛🏼

That's a Fox Rage Predator float straight out of the deadbaiting section at angling direct. I'm going to call them ASAP to let them know you said that's not a pike float so they can move it to the match fishing section in the shop.😂

I made it myself and I believe I used size 2 trebles for that size of lure.👍🏻

Yesterday I went to pike comp in Derwent reservoir near Durham and didn't get a single bite in 6h of fishing and only 7 pike caught out of 48 anglers. This high pressure doesn't help at all.
