The crowds reaction at each part of the song as it progresses is nothing short of amazing. I think i was the only one who stood up and screamed when PIMPF started at the show i saw them at. Lol

I was 10 growing up in Poland, when i first heard this album. I was absolutely mesmerized. The haunting background melody is present in many of their songs. It reminded me of the greyness of communist Poland and yet somehow their music made me feel good. It was so melancholic. Listening to this as a 44 year old man, it brings me right back to my small bedroom in a communist block and all the feelngs this brought to me. It brings tears to my eyes...remembering my youth.

Communist bloc xDDD really, middle age Poles have some serious issues. Social architecture was happening all over Europe, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic and the UK. Social architecture is what keeps the country of Poland together considering that everywhere in Europe privately built estates are being kept empty in order to artificially raise the prices. Stop selling the story of a sad boy crushed by "communism" in a socialist country. Sure, it's romantic but nothing has changed: the world is gray and growing up is hell.

I love Depeche Mode, but why are so many of their "live" performances lip synced? It's frustrating. They can sing and play, so why fake it so often?

That was fucking incredible!! The crowd just kept getting more and more bonkers ar each part of the song. And this was just the opening inteo instrumental? Everyone looks so happy and just grateful to be witnessing (and seemingly realizing it) an historic moment in music history

Anybody know this? According to Gareth Jones, the low garbled part in the beginning of the Black Celebration album recording is the Winston Churchill quote "A brief period of rejoicing." But it is Daniel Miller's voice processed. But there has to be more, because at the end of the live 101 performance, you can clearly hear, "A brief...[something]....we are all rejoicing." The Churchill quote is "we may allow ourselves a brief period of rejoicing, but let us not forget for a moment the toils and efforts that lie ahead." So I think they mixed the words up and paraphrased the sentence to get, "a brief...forget for a moment...we are all rejoicing." Maybe?

Estoy de acuerdo que Alan hizo muchísimo por el grupo. Pero tengo que decir que hay muchos temas que tal cuál demo de Martin fueron grabadas con pocos cambios. Para mi en esencia DM es Martin y Dave
