That's a perfect wave for getting used to throwing yourself over the ledge of a big, solid wave on your gun. They were big drops. Racing down that face for those 6-10 seconds would've felt like 20 - 30 seconds the way time slows down when your in that zone. I bet it was a huge adrenaline rush.

They do the same at a break just south from Kurnell called Voodoo, you don't see them because you wouldn't be fishing the rocks when these spots are pumping.

Never seen this big wave before & I lived in Brontë.!A good short wave to test your long board take offs. In the 60’s a kid called Brad Slowgrove rode his billy cart straight off the cliff there and required extensive dental work which we were fascinated with.
