Rick Stewart was always a joke. Nobody really cared for him. Imagine a button pusher thinking they are the star of the show. Buster was a clown as well. Nobody in racing respected either one of these guys.

That's why Nostalgia Pro Stock is making its way to the top you'll see Expedition runs at NHRA but you can catch Nostalgia Pro Stock at local tracks a lot of them does not have lanco transmission as such as mine because I can't afford it

It's a real pity that Heathcote Park has gone south since. A lot of potential there, but Lance is a selfish prick and no longer pays anyone to work there.. expects "passionate volunteers", generally treats everyone like a financial burden.. owes money to many companies and individuals. Top Fuelers wont be back again anytime soon.

Warren Johnson has been doing this BS for years 50 + years he has shown the younger guys how to be a POS and this can kill or hurt if the clutch comes apart in the larger machines, this should be addressed by NHRA and STOPED yesterday !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can remember in the mid 1970's, 250 MPH was thought to be as fast as F/C,s could be.

Remember the fastest 1/4 run ever is 3.22 at 402 mph in a hydrogen powered rocket dragster. That was in the 1980s. I believe it was making over 25,000 horsepower.

i hope to visit santa pod this year or next year to finally see and hear a top fuel dragster irl . i've seen a top alcohol and a jet car . but top fuel or funny car is what is still on my bucket list

I’m a Pod veteran and if you can get close to the start line it blow your mind. Euro championships held there bank holiday end of May and finals in September. Defo the best events as it’s racing, not just demos. There’s nitro dragsters and funny cars plus jet cars, nitro bikes 200mph street cars. It’s incredible. Get there early to avoid big queues. You won’t regret it

Standing next to a running Top Fuel or Nitro Funny Car engine is undoubtedly the most intense experience that one can ever experience. It cackles as it spits flames and unburned nitro from the upturned exhaust tubes. The raw fuel burns the sinuses as eyes water profusely. The intense sound physically hammers the chest and lungs causing shortness of breath. This is all going on while the engine is idling. The massive rush occurs when the crew chief blips the throttle to purge the cylinders. The sudden and unexpected release of energy will knock everyone backwards It’s visceral, intense, toxic, frightening, brutal and a mind numbing assault on the senses beyond human comprehension. All other extreme endeavors pale in comparison. In other words it’s a wonderful, mind altering experience that will change your entire outlook on life ! Santa Pod looks like a great venue. Here in the States you’re allowed to go in the pit area and mingle with the racers while getting up close and personal with the nitro burning monsters. I think Santa Pod is hosting the European Finals in September. I would imagine they will have plenty of blown fuel cars there. I hope you can experience them soon 🏁

@@OminousObeliskif we see the speeds consistent that fast next year will be 1/8 mile for fuel. The NHRA won’t risk another accident if speeds keep up. They thought shortening the track to 1000 feet would stop accidents and it didn’t
