Is the Peter Stokkebye stuff remaining untouched? Also, are you aware of any decent crossovers for the hh stuff?

As of now, the Stokkebye stuff is safe. As for comparable blends to the HH blends, I know of none that come close. Makes this whole shit worse.

@@sonnythepiper I never got to try them as I'm fairly new, so it might be a mercy to not have had the experience. Too bad they wouldn't sell off the licensing and blend details for some of these blends instead of mothballing them.

I tried this for the first time last night. Absolutely awful. The worse blend I've ever smoked. Just like smoking hot air mixed with something that's dropped out the devil's anus. Horrid. Instant throat burn. I'm surprised I didn't pass out. Could only manage 10 minutes and I won't be smoking this again P.S. It was dry enough. It wasn't fresh out of the packet either.

Stopped by Strauss last night, and they mentioned that they now have to find a new supplier. Sutliff was who they had been using to order all of the components for mixing their house blends. Also, they still have a decent amount of Sleepy Hollow left. Since you've become a pipe smoker, what discontinued blend has hit you the hardest?

Honestly, I would say this one hits the hardest. Most of my daily “non-C&D” blends were all from the HH line. Rustica, Old Dark Fired, Bold Kentucky, and Pure Virginia were my go-to blends. This really hurts.

Where you from, pipe smoker just got a pound of Mac Barren Vanilla flake as I am not sure what is getting cut and that is my favorite. Have my 84 softail I built 25 years ago back in my pool room getting redone just cause I can. In the UP here

They kept Capstan blue but I haven’t seen it confirmed whether it’s the flake or ready rubbed that they’re keeping. If I were to venture a guess, I’d say they’ll keep the flake but I don’t know for sure.

Found a tin of HH Burley flake at a local vape shop that happened to have some pipe tobacco behind the counter.....turns out it was abput 4 years old, almost perfectly aged ....i smoked the whole damn tin from start to finish it was so damn delicious. Luckily i have another one stowed away, which im going to let age even more. But im not too worried regarding the whole STG thing. Plenty of amazing tobaccos out there to smoke, from HU, to GL Pease and C and D, and of course Gawith and Hogarth, to name a few.

I’m a Burley smoking codger. My all day, every day smoke is Prince Albert and PS41. Wessex Burley Slice and Solani Aged Burley are great, but almost every time I smoke Cobblestone the Hiking and HH Burley Flake, it’s nirvana.
