Wanted to buy one the other day, figured it would be my last one , (In my life span). Nissan, in Waycross, Ga, was a "waste" of time, Dan Vaden Nissan , of Savannah and Hinesville Georgia had marked there trucks up 24% (plus) over MSRP. and and come to find out , that was for a 2022, not a 2023 that I was looking for .

only two complaints i have is.. on the sv model 1. headlights beam washes out on the streets (LED) are available. 2. cruise control is really crazy (over zelas!) other then that. this truck kicks ars!

These would be great trucks to lease. then after a few years, you can get rid of it before all the body/powertrain issues start popping up, and the truck becomes somebody else's problem lol

Went to an auto show recently and checked one of these out. I must say they are pretty nice. But they do have one serious drawback to me. I'm not very tall and I tried sitting in the back seat. There is not very much legroom at all. If you won't need the back seat for passengers then it shouldn't be a deal breaker.

I'm happy there is no turbo as base, tho some ppl are obcest with turbos. I heard bad rumors regarding the cruise control claiming it is confused when selecting guears on the highway up and down hills. Regardless I would buy this car over any colorado ZR2 and canyon AT4X new models if this frontier had a front and rear locker rather then just a rear locker. I need the front lockers for the type of overlanding I do.

I have a 2023 Pro4X and have had no issues with gear searching on it while using the cruise function. On steep inclines it downshifts to a lower gear and holds it to maintain set speed. I've found the transmission to be a true joy while driving. Extremely smooth operation. As far as no front locker it does have LSD to transfer power to the wheel with grip on the front. I agree front locker would be awesome to have, but the LSD will compensate for some of the loss there. It also offers a combination of forward cam view, 360 view, and passenger side view to act as a spotter for you as well to help with your line. Hill hold is a nice plus as well if you get stopped on a steep hill climb. No rolling back for several seconds after letting off brake. Overall I've been impressed with it. Looking forward to upgrading the tires to some KO's, or Grabber ATs in the future. :)

@@user-wp2tq6op8r glad to hear from some1 who owns one. Do the wheel wells have enough room to add larger tires and are the tirods capable of handling the extra weight? Does it have a 4wheel auto mode or is it only 2wheel dive on roads and 4hi 4low off-road use only?

Sorry cut reply short. You can of course use the 4H feature on regular roads during inclement weather conditions, but it recommends you stay below 60 MPH while driving in 4H.

I went and test drive a frontier at local dealer. It had the SV convenience package and technology package. It was a very comfortable vehicle, my wife loved the interior space, great pick up when merging on highway, smooth on roads, turning was fine. The negatives were the engine idle was not smooth, we could feel a vibration while waiting for light to turn green and when we got back to dealership, there was a hissing sound, sounded like a vacuum leak coming from near the gas tank. Vehicle only had 8 miles on it, we were surprised to hear those deficiencies. My wife wants to go back and drive a different Frontier to determine if that was just one vehicle that did that or is it across the Frontier line. For now it’s still in consideration. Next week we will make a determination as to whether we will buy one or not.
