As a lightweight thrower who recently turned 40, I have to say thank you to Michael for simplifying the input for the ridiculous amount of overlapping classes I'm now in 😅

Keg for height or distance is my favorite. Never had such a big crowd for an extra event. Everyone knows what a keg feels like when they pick one up. Getting to launch one 25ft high or 50-60ft away is so crazy

In these couple peaking videos you talk about cutting out accessories, 3 x 5 on main lifts, and focusing on throwing. My question is, how many weeks before a Games do you feel is ideal to enter a peaking phase?
@jacoblangworthy2 ай бұрын
Generally 4-5 weeks. But for me it depends on when the last block ends.

It’s super simple. For five week I build up from 60% to 75% with an easy rep scheme and on the week of the games I treat it as an easy deload. That’s the elevator version. They is a lot more that goes into it but is athlete specific.

What's you training regimen? How do you split between weights and throwing? And how many reps u get a session? Been having a tough time juggling both
@jacoblangworthy6 ай бұрын
That’s a lot of questions lol. The program I run is essentially a version of 531. Unless it’s a speed block, then it’s something different. Pre season lift 3 days throw 3, in season lift 3 throw 4, off season lift 4 throw 2. At this point in the season I put a lot more emphasis on throwing, i will cut a gym day if I need to, for time or energy.
@joshuaDveech6 ай бұрын
@@jacoblangworthy okay! I do 3 lifting and 3 throwing usally during season. Throwing numbers have been subpar this season for me. But might try switching it up.
