Looked like a good field it was on but couldn't help noticing there didn't seem to be that many people there, maybe that's the reason why there won't be another? looks like it was all laid out nice which obviously takes a bit of effort but when not many turn up it can be quite demoralising I guess and all things cost money to put on. Liked the video, stay safe out there👍

I never saw a fat hobo with expensive leather bags riding around to find a spot at a camp site to expand his expensive wax cotton pseudo tarp to have a big bbq for a safe one night sleep fake. Sure for us it’s a cool experience that only few would want to repeat. For others it’s plain wild man posing. For real hobos it’s a way of sharing all his things with friends that would steal those gimmicks and sell em for a drink or a smoke. Nice to dream what you really don’t want to be and hopefully have some fun with it. But old style it ain’t. Its modern desk rider garbage.

@@GiancarloBenzina I know I shouldn’t feed the troll but….. I just wanted to say thanks for the comment pal. Positive or negative it all helps promote the channel. I think you have mixed up being homeless with using a traditional motorcycle camping set up. At no point in this video did I suggest I was simulating being homeless, rather I was using an old lean to tarp set up. Also please feel free to watch my previous videos, where you will no doubt hear me mentioning several times that I make my own leather luggage and I also made this waxed canvas tarp. I am actually in the process of producing a DIY instructional video on how to make a leather and canvas sissy bar bag, so I am sure you will be keen to see that video. Best if you subscribe and activate the notification bell icon, so you do not miss my future videos. Finally I would like to say a massive thank you. As an amateur, self taught DIY leather bodger, to have my projects described as ‘expensive’ is the best compliment I could ever have hoped for ❤️👍

I've always preferred to ride alone. After over 40 years of riding and having watched loads of videos of people doing solo tours, in 2016 I decided to do one myself. Sadly, due to health issues, I'll probably never do another but I'll always remember the feeling of liberated freedom, going into a pub, chatting to anyone or nobody as I pleased. Like you, I'm at that stage of life where I just don't give a toss what other people think, it's none of my business. Love your mix of biking and philosophy.

Hey Mark, nothing ever been wrong with walking into a pub on your own I’ve been doing it for years! Granted I wasn’t 18 when I started but after becoming single in my mid 20’s for the first time in my adult life I couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Casually strolling in with a newspaper under my arm at lunchtime on a Saturday. Loved it! Shame though as you say because haven’t done it in ages. Always frequent the pub (probably a little too much) but haven’t bought a newspaper in years thinking of it. It’s not the same day on a phone is it. Something to go back to I think. Nice Luts by the way 😉

Hi Nick. If you’ve got Facebook, add Dixie’s Diner. That’s Terry’s page. Honestly there’s nothing to be nervous about, especially with Terry. He’s one of the nicest, most welcoming guys I’ve ever met. If you like we could go and meet him together and have a coffee in his diner. Also, if you watch my other videos, you’ll see I go to many of the rallies by myself. No one judges and I’m quite content just wondering around making a pest of myself with my camera. My next Rally is in a few weeks - Notas MCC Broken Barn in Norfolk so not too far, you should check it out and consider going for the weekend or even just the Saturday. 👏 the inner city police division covering parts of the Falls, Shankill and Upper Springfield, an area of only a couple of square miles had the highest recorded murder rate across the whole of NI during the years of violence. The area, mainly working class back-to-back housing where the two communities lived yards from each other was the preserve of roving murder gangs. Many, many tragedies unfolded on the streets you rode along. That history resonates to this day. A recent survey asking local people about the future of the ‘Peace Walls’ had the vast majority of respondents demanding that the walls remain. 😢 On a much, much lighter note I was amused as you suggested visitors take an open bus tour of the city as you rode along in a not untypical Belfast downpour. 😊

Subscribed. Glad to have found your channel. I’m from the same part of the world and I was reeled in by views of Brown’s Bay. I’ve now enjoyed some of your back catalogue and the narrated personal philosophies. I laughed at the cacophony of car alarms on the rear deck. Having done the Belfast/Birkenhead run several times, and despite the repeated announcements by staff car alarms are left on and begin sounding as the ship makes its first turn from the quay - not great on a night crossing when you’re in a cabin close to the rear deck. Agree too with your comments on the attention to detail by the loading crew. When I travel by scooter securing my Vespa requires the strap being across the seat and the crew are always extra careful not to allow the strap metalwork to touch the side panels. Condolences on the loss of your friend. Ride safe.

I hope the tv in the lounge was silent with WiFi sound only, how on earth could you sleep with a tv blaring? Why do Harley riders love having numerous chains draping from clothing?

@@bikeroffthebeatentrack All is explained, I would need to be paid £25 to use lounge if TV blaring, especially if Sky news is the chosen channel, torture on a repeat loop. Bbc news not much better. Silent adult motorist’s lounge worth paying the extra. I lost a coin wallet, presumably down the side of a Stena lounge seat, discovered on arrival home, could have done with a chain! Contacted Stena, of course not found, 50+€ lost. Might have been worse if I lost wallet, would look strange as a car driver with wallet chain more of a Harley thing.
