Hi Michelle, great demo 😊 I have a Jack A6F and the FMQ foot for it, but I don’t know if I should cover the feed dogs as it’s a needle feed machine. I like that you showed the ‘duck on water’ - now I realise I’d had my foot set too high when I tried it, using a stitch length of 0, but I don’t think the feed dogs drop on this model do they? I got mine secondhand with almost no instructions so it’s been a case of working out what button does what! Thanks for any advice you can give about the feed dogs for FMQ. Super helpful video, off to watch your others on FMQ now!

The feed don't drop at all but with the stitch length on 0 it stops them from pulling on the fabric, so glad it helped, hope you enjoy quilting on the Jack it's a dream to sew with

No I haven't had that maybe check the tension on the top as that's normally the reason for bobbin issues. Hope that helps

I wanted to thank you for your video, this helped me out immensely. I was experiencing the same thing you did, machine working fine and then couldn’t quilt more than 100-150 stitches. Changed the needle twice, checked for fuzz under the needle plate, checked the tension again, retimed the machine, etc. After watching your video, I checked the thread guides and there it was, the dreaded burr. Sanded it smooth and I was finally able to finish a row without any breakage. Never once thought to check there. Thank you so much for sharing this information!!
