I treated myself to a pair of wire loopers. About to buy these looping pliers. I am to sold on these Wubbers because of the handles that love my hand. So ergonomic. And, because I'm left-handed, making a loop is a chore for me. The most basic technique of jewelry making is difficult for me to achieve symmetrical loops. And I want to wrap them all😂. So, I wanted to add, to lefties, and those of us who need that handle that loves that not so wonderful hand, Wubbers understands your needs.

Could these pliers be used (and effective) on half hard and full hard 20AWG or 22AWG (or thinner) steel wire? I am not making jewelry and looking for a tool for scratch building HO model railroad bridges....and other model railroad uses as well. I also looking for a tool for making clean right angle 90 degree bends in small gauge full hard wire if you have any suggestions. Thanks for doing the video. Philip

I did not see you using solder. ?????
@tammygurl643 жыл бұрын
Argentium will fuse to itself so she didn't need solder. Argentium is a wonderful metal to work with! I started out fusing argentium before I ever even tried to use solder because it's easier and less to clean up because there's no fire scale. If you make this with 925 Sterling, you'll have to use solder unless you wire wrap all the bowtie links.

Do you sell the Lindstrom flush cut shears used in this video?
@WubWubbers4 жыл бұрын
Yes, we do. It is available in our shop: wubberstools.com/lindstrom-shear-no-serrations/ We charge a $10 shipping fee but we refund any portion that is not used. It will definitely be less than $10 to ship just the shears and you will be refunded what is not used.

On the regular pliers what the mm of the center of the loop? I read that the loop is 2.2 mm but I don't know where that is measured from? Is that like a jump ring measured from the outside so the outside is 2.2 mm on a 20 gauge wire?

This is a good tutorial! I've decided to try making Argentium silver jewelry because it looks so easy and not much to clean up afterwards because there's no fire scale. Have you ever made tiny beads to use as accents to a piece? It seems it would be easy. Btw, I love the ring and bracelets. My brain is already spinning with ideas!! 😄 I'd love to see more Argentium projects. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

I love my pliers but I wanted them for memory wire loops at the end's of my project, but in none of the video's do they demonstrate using the pliers for memory wire. could someone please clarify if they can be used for end loop's. so far I may not be strong enough. tks Nicky

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have had these pliers for some time but didn’t know how to use them. This will make my loop making so much easier! I have avoided projects with too many loops because I could never get them right, you have saved my desire to make jewelry!

Thanks for this great video on Argentium Sterling Silver, Laura. Please do MORE ON ARGENTIUM. I work exclusively in Argentium Sterling and for every video on Argentium Sterling, there are 1000 videos on regular sterling. I've heard that working with Argentium Sterling is more like working with Solid Gold. The ductility and the fusing are so huge combined with the 'no firescale' and 'FAR less problems with tarnish'. Thanks again, and keep doing more on Argentium.
