The indie scene most definitely maybe not the UK top 40 there was an awful lot of dross amongst the odd gem especially all those novelty songs in the early 80,s

Born in Chicago, raised in the city streets. My momma gave me the basic facts of life. Get in the car boy. Put your seat belt on. I never ride with anyone less they wear their seat belt. That's one of my rules.

We used to play this at an open mic-evening with my mate Pete singin´it in Poole, UK, and when people came to thank us for the rendition of this song I said, "He´s not just saying he´s Joe Roberts, he really IS Joe Roberts!" So was Johnny, of course.

This song makes me think of the day i graduated from Mesa Verde high school on May 24th, 2016 8 years ago at the theater in Downtown Sacramento on 16th Street, J Street and I Street. When i got my diploma. Then after the ceremony, i said goodbye to some great friends of mine outside. It was tough for me honestly. 😞

My parents and thus myself were recipients of the Reagan food stores. A block of cheese could be used to help support a car if one had to change a flat tire. And I turned out ok.
