Benin is better laid out and potentially one of the most beautiful Nigerian cities. 2 things are lacking though. Good road infrastructure with an underground drainage system, trees, and greenery, and massive urban renewal in the oldest parts of the city. There are cities with multiple flyovers and they look tacky at best. The only city in nigeria with a proper city center from where 8 roads radiate throughout the length and breath of the city. Benin is central and has a grid system while most Nigerian cities are linear

Very true Observation. I keep saying it. Political tussle is what is making the city laid back! No body really really cares about the tourism industry of Edo
