Tell me you have no idea what you’re talking about without saying you have no idea what you’re talking about. 😂 Taylor Series and approximations are “Chapter 2?” Ratio Test is your “final” chapter? Bro everything you have listed here is ass-backwards and skips over so much. People don’t even touch on Taylor Series until the back half of the course after spending months learning integration techniques for algebraic and trigonometric expressions, improper integrals, partial fraction decomposition, and sequences before the word series even comes out of their mouths. You also didn’t even mention differential equations.

Hello, yeah this was the order we learned it in the order in our course sequence. No worries, your class probably just had a different order. Additionally, I did mention that other "Calculus 2" or alike names in other colleges might have different curriculum. Remember, it's hard to say, but this is what works in most (some? barely any??) universities. This is certainly what happened in our university though. Thank you for your feedback, I will use it to improve if I choose to remaster this project in the future. Currently I have no intention to do so, but things may change.

Did you try putting a single quote in the front yet? If not, that may be what's going wrong in CASYMBA. Try that, and if it still doesn't work, try opening a new issue in the GitHub.

This goes over some but not all of Calc 2. There's much more to it than this, that of which I still haven't took yet. Going through this video, I pretty much knew like 75% of what was being taught. Only thing I didn't know of was the Taylor Series, which is the next video I have to watch from my calc 2 teacher.

Hey Fuzzy, W video, any chance you could give us a tutorial on how you installed it? While the installation guide is good, a video step by step would be awesome as there arent any videos out even though PineappleCAS dropped years ago

Hi Daniel, thanks for your kind words. I'm also not entirely sure what you meant by installed "it". If you meant how I installed the PineappleCAS software, I showed how to do so around 5:00. Just a note, you might need clibs.8xg which I show around 4:57. I also show how to upload it on the calculator around 6:00. If you are still a bit confused about any particular step that I went through (since I went through it a bit quickly) please let me know!

Why do you use CASYMBA before using PCAS?
@fuzzypenguinams3207
@fuzzypenguinams3207 2 ай бұрын
This is just to help PCAS as CASYMBA is a little bit newer, but doesn't quite simplify your answer all the way. You could just use PCAS all the way, but PCAS is noticeably slower, and you would end up needing to run PCAS twice (with different arguments). From my experience, running PCAS twice takes longer. To cut down on time spent calculating and simplifying the expression, you should use CASYMBA to get it in a decently simplified form, and use PCAS for the final bits. I hope this helps you, though please note that your mileage may vary as the creator of CASYMBA recently added a few bug fixes and enhancements.

And that’s another video in the ocean of videos spreading lies that the most common way a computer finds trig values is with polynomial expansions
@fuzzypenguinams3207
@fuzzypenguinams3207 5 ай бұрын
You're correct. After looking into it a bit more (as it is part of my major) it turns out CORDIC is MUCH more efficient than using polynomial expansions. However, at the time, I have not learned bitwise operations, nor did I know about how computers ACTUALLY do math. Oh well, we grow and learn. Thanks for pointing it out!

@@fuzzypenguinams3207 What’s crazy is my literal calculus course in high school claimed polynomials were how all calculators do it, and I privately told my teacher later that that’s really not as true as it seems, and the CORDIC algorithm is much more efficient, and he was completely taken aback. This is a really weird lie and I wonder what made it spread so hard. Maybe because it’s such a quick thing to say “So why do we need these polynomials? Because calculators duhhhh”

This is just sequences and series though. The rest is applications/optimization, continuity/differentiability, integration techniques (parts, trig substitution, etc), solids of revolution, arc length, and parametric/polar coordinates which is 80-90% of the course.

2:45 Nonsense. If a function can be written in terms of Euler's formula then it is integratable . Any trigonometric identity can be written in terms of Euler's formula. Again, mathematicians have polluted rational mathematics (as in sane) with this nonsense. You have got to clean this up!!

Hi! I did the animations using Manim (the community edition, with Cairo as the rendering backend).
