Hi guys! First of all, thank you so much for working on the game, it's truly impressive. If modding the logo, team names and player names in this game is easy (and it seems like it is) it's absolutely amazing. I also have high hopes for the franchise mode. Well, now to the point - today I discovered a funny bug - the player got stuck in the opponent after the ball went out of bounds. It was not possible to continue the game. Hope this helps you. This looks amazing. That first few seconds seeing the crowd and all the updated player graphics compared to your first few months was such a pleasure. Keep going! I want to create a Darts sports game sometime in the future so this is super inspiring.

This is beautifully done, the character movement, animations, artwork, etc. Reminds of NBA Live 95 but if Tecmo and Capcom were involved lol. Awesome work! Edit: Wishlisted!

Downloaded the Demo awhile ago but just got to the demo today. Really enjoying the game. Only complaint I have is there isnt a houston team but im loving the game! Cant wait for release!!

We don't have an NBA license, so our game won't ship with NBA teams. I do suppose it's possible someone might use the modding functionality in our game to create NBA teams, but we certainly wouldn't be able to sell or distribute them without a license to do that. Full Court Heroes does support the NBA ruleset and its franchise mode is structured similar to the NBA. Its teams take some amount of inspiration from NBA teams, though. We do plan on an update that allows college rules, leagues with tournament post-season, and recruiting rather than drafts. That will likely be a post-release update though, to be honest. As far as other basketball games, more is better from my point of view. There's obviously similarities between 2D pixel-art basketball games based on NBA-like rules. There's quite a few differences too. Full Court Heroes has local multiplayer, and will have online multiplayer at full release, and is releasing for PC and then Switch, rather than just mobile. I haven't played the other, but I've seen it. It looks to be pretty good. Once Full Court Heroes releases, I hope everyone picks up both. I am rooting for anyone who has made or is making an indie sports game. It's pretty difficult to do, but there's a lot of character in them you won't necessarily get from the AAA games.

Steam release is first (Windows/Mac/Linux). The plan after that is Nintendo Switch. We'll at least look into other consoles as well. Mobile would be after that if we decide to release on mobile.

I recently got Pixel Cup Soccer and it’s fantastic and similar graphics to your basketball game. I’ll have to check out legend bowl that you referenced in your video.

I've been following this for a while. I will try the demo as soon as possible! It looks great! Questions: Will the character progress on their stats? Will the game have the option to create original characters?

Yes, you can create original characters and initially set their stats (in the demo, you can edit existing players, but creating players is possible). In franchise mode, players will progress in their stats as you go - some stats will update at certain moments mid-season. Most will progress each offseason.

Joe, really enjoying the demo and discovering this game. Don’t know if you are open to feedback or suggestions but any thoughts of animated cut scenes for dunks or wide open threes like what Pat Riley basketball used to have.

I haven't had enough time with the demo to give a proper evaluation but I love the concept of the game, a couple suggestions I'd make regardless. 1. Parody Characters would be a really interesting way to make it more replayable 2. A street court and gamemode more akin to street basketball. the type where foul's get more disregarded 3. A conflict meter, where if two of the opposing players were fouling too much, they' could end up fighting and getting thrown out of the game 4. Going along with the conflict meter I think adding additional players as your backup could be a really fun thing, especially if you were to use one of the parody characters. Collecting these backup characters could be a really fun progression system, some might be awful and have horrible stats, others might be average and some might be amazing. 5. Arguing and comebacks, I'm genuinely not exactly sure how possible something like this would be; But essentially what I think would be cool is if you added a feature to where when two players argue enough they trade jabs back and forth and I'd imagine having a text editor(this would be set up in the main menu not something done in game) of some kind you could use to add to a character for when they do argue with another player in game. Players having beef and getting into arguments is genuinely something a lot of people love about basketball the rivalry. 6. A system that would essentially add a player celebrating scoring, a quick animation from either the players or a person else on screen, maybe a coach 7. Mascot System would be hilarious I'll check out the game at some point in the next couple days properly but these are a couple suggestions. As someone who's only basketball game has been mario 3 on 3 hoops for the NDS(genuinely a great game) On a side note, i know someone suggested adding WNBA to the game..... I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the fact is nobody cares about the WNBA they've been literally losing $10+ million every single year and the NBA just takes the hit for the womens sake. The only reason anybody knows the name of a WNBA player is because one got sent to Russian prison for having drugs in Russia, a Woman might you who was traded for one of the most infamous arms dealers of all time lol. A woman who lived in Russia 3 months out of the year for Basketball and knew full well the laws in the country. I am being a tad blunt, but I genuinely wouldn't bother adding it simply because it wouldn't be widely wanted.
