I was born in USC general hospital! 1968. I was born without my bile ducts . I had two surgeries as a baby then again two put larger tubes. Dr. Telfer Reynolds was the one assist my two surgeries. Growing up I had been in out of the hospital due to infections. I guess tubes would get clogged . So here I am sick feeling terrible at USC and everyone puzzled why or what is wrong with me I’m in pain throughout my body Dr.s coming in and out and finally this tall man with a smile walk over and sit on the end of my bed with a huge smile! My first reaction was ( this man is gonna help me I just felt that right away ) he said with a smile your back and introduced himself. He told me that the Dr he assist twice was one of the best he got to work with and end up leaving after my two surgery’s to the military. And Dr. Reynolds said he knew what he wanted to continue to study that became his passion the liver and more. He said a dr came in and asked for his advice on a patient he had in pain didn’t understand my situation once he gave my name.Dr. Telfer Reynolds said to himself he couldn’t believe it was me. Before coming to me he went into his files and pulled out a little white well off white now yellowish card that he passed to me while sitting on my bed with his huge smile . On the card was a drawing of a liver tubes bile ducts and the name baby Victoria . I truly wanted to cry cause I’ve been in the hospital in pain going through test after test scared and he brought me peace I felt so much relief and I knew I was gonna be just fine . Dr. Telfer reassured me you will be fine. Meeting the man who saved me as a baby and explaining my two surgeries to me was one of the best days of my life! I’m lost in hope once again cause Dr Telfer has died and I’m back in USC hospital in pain once again drs lost and puzzled can’t figure what’s wrong since I’m rigged up different with tubes! Almost sending me home cause they don’t know what to do. I’m scared and probably will die cause they tried going in with a camera but said they can’t see cause my insides are different so they wanna try going through my liver and coming down from the top to see if they can find the tubes but they don’t see bile duct. My heart and mind is scared. God help me ❤️🙏

Peter Gibson, you have a fantastic ability to communicate this knowledge. I'm finding it so easy to digest (pun intended :P) the information when listening to you. I have purchased the Monash app in support of your team, and am looking forward to implementing the methodology as described in order to deterime which FODMAP's are the trigger, and specifically which foods I need to avoid so that I can reduce my IBS symptoms. Additionally, what is even more incredible a discovery is the understanding of the Gut-Brain axis and how this is the actual root of what is going on. Everyone experiences the distension of the bowels from these FODMAP's, this is normal and not the problem. It is how our Gut and Brain interpret these signals that is the issue. Wow! Super fascinating. Furthermore, that we can remedy this through therapy i.e hypnotherapy, yoga + others is absolutely mindblowing. I have a question regarding the use of these alternative therapies. Is there a specific yoga practise that helps? Does it require a trained yoga practitioner skilled in IBS treatment? I have tried yoga a good few times, however never seem to stick at it. But if I knew more about this modality I would definitely be inclined to give it another go! All my respect for pursuing these nutritional endeavours! Many thanks to you and your amazing team, Benji.
