I’ve watched your videos before and I live right down the beach from where you’re fishing. I had to relocate after Helene and deeply miss fishing and catching black drum, as they were a frequent catch! Happy to see a video of the place I love and look forward to getting back in the area soon! Save some for me!

Fantastic day! I lost $130 in one crack out on Lake Michigan. I broke a rod trying to pop the planer release and also broke the line. Rod was $50, planer was $40, flasher was $30, trolling fly was $10. It sucks but it happens. Lucky for us the fish were biting really good so we had 100 lb of salmon to bring home. It's the chance you take. Enjoy the Pompano. They are the best.

@inappropriateangler7 ай бұрын
I never complain , i make comments based on hopes i have for that particular fishing session . Pompano was on my mind and everything else wasn't . I can put that on repeat , "whiting is best taco fish you can catch from the beach and i love fishing for them" .👊

OK, I know where you’re at because I live in the area. How far out was that whiting dropped as far as sandbar reference, if you don’t mind me asking? I like to go out to the second sandbar and look for sand dollars but now I’m wondering what else is out there! I know, sharks are everywhere, but I know the bigger ones are where it is deeper usually. Nice Pompano! As for me, I’d rather have a puppy drum!
@inappropriateangler7 ай бұрын
Thank you, just over 180 yards, at this distance you can catch all sizes been having some luck with nice bulls last few weeks, But when conditions are good for them big hammers come as close as that first through here. Black tips and spinners love cruising on that shallow 2nd bar when water is clear. Only way you can see them is from above. Puppy drum are one of my favorite fish , way better than redfish IMO. I fish from Indian Shore to Sand Key if you see me stop by👊
