@HyperspaceTowel4 күн бұрын
I've never tried it, but I've heard others say that they've gotten the achievement this way. I believe them because: 1. You don't get a TPK here like you do if you trigger the orb manually earlier in the game 2. You get the full happy ending cutscene, so clearly you've completed the game 3. When you talk to Gale at the brain stem and tell him NOT to use the orb, he literally says, "Lead on, then. I shall stay my hand as long as I can - but if the tide of battle turns against us, remember I have the means to bring a swift end to this." IMO this is the game telling you that if everything goes to shit, the orb is still an option.

no don't do it this way in honour mode. To get the golden dice and the achievement you have to go finish the epilogue party and talk to Withers for it to count. in this scenario in the video, everyone is dead and there is no party. If you want to skip the fight, you have to talk to Gale and convince him before climbing the brain stem. That way, he will teleport the rest of you to safety and only he will climb the brain stem. You still get the epilogue party then, with Gales projection to leave you a goodbye message. You can get the dice then by talking to Withers
@HyperspaceTowelКүн бұрын
@@phoenixkh93 Talking to Withers at the party isn't required for the achievement. Rolling credits at the end of act 3 is. If you don't, they will face off against you, trying to acquire the "certain thing." When jahiera confronted me, i pleaded that i only did all of this to stop the absolute. I fully intended to have my character kill themself afterward. I did not fight her. I couldn't. I ran away. Even with her betrayal i planned to continue except for two issues. Wyll, the man who had proposed to me the night before, sided with jahiera. When I ran away he vanished from the game, and guess who i had carrying the orphic hammer. This locked me out of the ending i wanted. @@nathanieljefferies5491 look dude, I won’t lie and say that his writing is 10/10. Larian def did him dirty sine they run out of time when rewriting him (just the fact that astarion has 12 hours of dialogue and content, while wyll only has 7 hours really shows it). But saying he has no depth is just plain wrong. Wyll (and karlach to some degree) is relatively more of a static character archetype compared to the rest, and there’s nothing wrong with that. He’s the “influence others” type rather than “deal with personal flaws” type like gale, or astarion. Not every character has to deal with grey morality. His depth comes from the fact that he stays strong and stick to his moral despite all the abuse mizora put him through. He refuse to kill karlach, he feels ashamed of his devilish appearance. He does feel some sort of regret and sadness over having to be a warlock the way he does. If you play as resist durge (doesn’t have to be fully goodie two shoes either), he understand your struggle and encourage you to be like gorion’s ward. He’s pragmatic enough to know that eating the tadpole is useful. Do I wish wyll is angrier and less forgiving towards his father? Yes. Do I wish he chose to break the contract himself in act 3? Also yes. But unfortunately Larian won’t give us that because their favorite child is astarion. Oh, sorry, getting a tad too salty there. The Camp is supposed to be far away enough from the cult to be safe from its projection. Multiple times, you can tell tadpoled characters like the Duke or the Exile to "meet you at camp." Shadowheart is also left alone without the artifact if you cross an Act 1 checkpoint without her in your party. None of them transform by doing so.
