I was swindled! I swore off Sean Miller when he stabbed us in the back... but, hypicritaclly welcomed him back. Now his arrogance has come home to roost. Stop the bullshit, bring Pat Kelsey home, and let Sean end up like Thad at OSU.

I'll take Coach Miller over anybody else in the country. He called some people out tonight, rightly so. Yes, the season is frustrating, but those individuals who are clamoring for a replacement coach, need their head examined. This guy can easily drive up I-71 and find a home in Columbus. It happened before with coach Matta. Don't think for a second that this can't happen. Glad that he mentioned only a new season will provide an opportunity to correct some things. We all knew this was going to be a .500 team at best in conference play. We all knew we were down two players and left with one sophomore. Anyone who expected more is clueless. I hope they pay this guy to finish his career here, because it can get a whole hell of a lot worse...he just took an unknown commodity to a Sweet 16 last year.

He’s mentioned multiple times in his podcast talking about the future and “building” this program. His language certainly gives hope he’s staying but as a coach you can’t give any hints you’re leaving especially in the middle of a season.

I'm a PC fan but Coach Miller is 100% right about technical fouls called on younger coaches by a much different set of standards than the "top tier" coaches. The one on him was terrible. Coach English has had a few of those this year too. By that standard, Dan Hurley could be called almost every time down the court yet he's treated with kid gloves. Hurley behaves like an absolute jerk on almost every call and is allowed to get away with it. I generally love the way Big East Refs call games, but the two-tiered set of standards for bench behavior is constant and awful.

The guy that got ejected for trying to pump the crowd up?
@PhillipLeonardi7 ай бұрын
@@WH-dm1jl you just made my point for me. That was 2 years ago when he was just the guy from URI punching above his weight. Now he's allowed to throw a tantrum over any call that goes against his team and spend the first part of every time out jawing at the officials. How many T's has he gotten this year? A small fraction of what he should have gotten, that's for sure.
@someguy62127 ай бұрын
I can't stand Hurley and his wife. Their behavior is embarrassing.

You couldn’t pay Sean Miller enough money for me. This man is a fantastic coach who cares deeply and shoots straight. He’s exactly right regarding the technical foul nonsense. There’s been some egregiously bad techs given to him, not the least of which was tonight’s.

I firmly believe that coach Miller is one of the top 10 in the land. With that being said, the Big East is a powerful conference. Not too long ago, X would waltz into the field of 64 (A10 and earlier) not knowing what they were capable of against stellar competition. I remember several of those first round losses to Wisconsin and realized that they weren't quite there yet on a national level. Fast forward a few years and we see that as a program Xavier has really come a long way. Take the University of Dayton for example, this season again ranked, not a whole lot of out of conference or in conference tests. Not to pick on UD because I always thought the matchup was a really good one for decades and they should lobby for a bigger conference, perhaps the BEast. I just noticed that I coined a phrase the beast. So this reads as an essay but coach is not a miracle worker. That's what it would have taken with one returning starter. Let us see if they can make a run in the conference tournament. I know that would take knocking off Marquette Connecticut Creighton teams that they have either lost to or will lose to in the regular season. Not all is lost, we always look forward to next year. Good Lord willing, we will be around to see a different team next season. Go X.
