I loved Cage's character so much that ultimately I enjoyed the movie, but I agree that the supernatural element took me out of it. It did feel grounded in reality up until that point, and once it went into the doll scenario I felt like I had bought into the Conjuring universe that I've managed to avoid thus far.

"Unintentionally hilarious" as a descriptor is also unintentionally hilarious and perfectly apt! 🤣

Thinking about SOTL, the showdown in the dark with bufallo bill towards the end of the movie was so climactic. Nic Cage's performance was a hilite of the movie and the movie ran out of steam once he was dead. I'd definitely look forward to this directors future pictures, the look and mood were great but i'd hope for better writing.

S3 feels like it was and editing/cinematography flex more than a previous season which was more characters, story and acting. Napkins and Ice Chips were the only things resembling the previous two season. WAY too much Faks. Get John Cena outta here!!!

I think you guys didn't get this season at all.

The structure of this season was different. S3 didn’t have a sense of direction or at least that’s what I felt . I don’t know if that makes sense but there were good scenes and really good episodes but the whole thing together didn’t feel as cohesive and meaningful as S2 / S1. The cliffhanger put me off too because S2/S1 were just so complete and perfect independently . I don’t think it was the right call to divide the story it needed to be told as a whole at once the way S1 and S2 was .

These rumors plunge me into complete perplexity. On the one hand, I would be very happy to see the Spinosaurus again and I am even quite open to it being more scientifically accurate than what was done in Jurassic Park III. But on the other hand, the return to an island again and the story of the mercenaries, it bothers me a little. I'm open for this movie and after the triple disappointment of the last films, I'm happy to give Koepp and Edwards a chance and I'm still hopeful.

I kind of like that brook lived but with a permanent injury. She's a very interesting character and one I enjoyed a lot. And either way I was CONVINCED it was a fakeout because they NEVER show her body, not even in a funeral flashback. My theory kept flipping from 'creepy raptor lady is brooke' to 'brooke is hiding?' to 'Maybe she really is dead'. But in complete fairness creepy raptor lady looks so much like brooke, i wonder if its some kind of cloning thing or a sibling, i dunno. But it'd be interesting if the creepy raptor lady is connected to brooke in some fashion because they look so similar, freckles, blue eyes. I saw a theory that the creepy lady is PART atrociraptor in some fashion so that's why she's so connected to the raptors, because she has their dna and honestly i hope that's true, it makes way more sense to me than just some random human having domesticated raptors.

Two brilliant films totally different from one another

My pick for the director for this EPIC story would have to be: Gareth Evans. He has directed both Raid films for those who aren't familiar with his work & he has the absolute talent to see this through. Also, this film should be split into 2 films as well. Now imagine the turtle fight sequences from the badass fight choreography team from those Raid films. Imagine. I just need to live that much longer now.

You can't compare the two, I'd say the 2024 is a re-Imaginary, not a remake like the New Crow that's getting destroyed with hate for reasons I refuse to accept... The villain did not put it on ice for good because he barely did anything and he barely spoke in the movie? At least in the cartoons, he did speak. If anything, need to be on ice first, is the villain. Second is some of the characters because some of them just there for cameos and barely screen time.
