Thank you for commenting and subscribing!!! I see no Scriptural reason not to have instruments, as long as they are played in a reverent and excellent manner.

Here is my super quick argument for no musical instruments in the worship service (notice I'm limiting only to the gathering of the saints to worship, not everyday, individual Christian living). Hebrews 9 speaks of the old covenant containing a shadow of the tabernacle system of sacrificing, etc. Hebrews 10:1 tells us the law contains a shadow but is not a shadow in and of itself. The shadow of the tabernacle system is done away in the new covenant of Jesus Christ. If we look at the inauguration of the tabernacle system in Exodus 25:9, we clearly see that the musical instruments were part of this system and were blown/blasted during the sacrifice, but not for playing melodious music, etc. Therefore, if musical instruments are part of the tabernacle system, then they are done away just as the priesthood, sacrifices, tabernacle furniture, etc. leaving acapella singing in its wake for the new testament church. Thank you for interreacting and have a blessed day!

I'm no apologist for Steven Anderson, but some of these criticisms were straw men. On some of the other points... Jesus didn't burn in hell because Hebrews 13:12 says Jesus suffered "without the gate", and 1 Peter 3:18 said Jesus "suffered once for sins". Therefore, Jesus only "suffered" on the cross and did not experience burning in hell. He also told the thief that he would be in paradise that day. I disagree with the "Abraham's bosom" idea, also, but Jesus for sure did not suffer in hell. We have to be careful with the passing on of the "sinful flesh" idea. Hebrews 2::14 says that Jesus partook of the same flesh and blood that man does, and Romans 8:3 said Jesus was sent in the "likeness of sinful flesh". The devil also tempted Jesus which means there was a possibility that Jesus could have failed the test if this was a real temptation. Repentance from sin is necessary AFTER salvation, but believing the gospel does cause a person to be saved initially, with baptism being the first act of obedience. After baptism, according to the "great commission", we are to observe all things Jesus commanded. This is a life of sanctification, but I agree that repenting of sinful behavior does nothing before trusting Christ as Saviour because those sins aren't forgiven yet. "Stopping sinning" doesn't grant forgiveness, being born again is the fresh start. The "soulwinning system" is definitely a scam. Jack Hyles was a horrible person and cult leader. His "reprobate doctrine" for sodomites only is way off. Anyone can be saved, if it isn't too late. There are times in scripture where it is too late to be saved, but sodomy isn't the threshold. I'm on a different side of the fence though in that I do believe if a Christian goes back to these sinful lifestyles he will not inherit the kingdom of God, however. I believe the vine is Jesus, the cast off branches were unbelieving Israel at the first coming of Christ, the grafted in branches are believing Gentiles, and those Israelites who believed the gospel were grafted back in. I don't believe ethnic Israel has any special position with God once Jesus arrived, however. 1 Peter 2:9 seems to assert that all those who are in Christ are the chosen people, whether Jew or Gentile. Yeah, the "quiver movement' for having as many kids as possible is false. For some families, like mine, the quiver is "full" with one arrow! Psalm 127:4-5

All of the Confederate flags--and my favorite is the last one, all white, flown by losing General Lee when he surrendered his army--were symbols of a government established specifically to maintain and extend slavery, and of the armed forces of that government; forces that were responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of citizens of the United States of America. No hand-waving can change those facts. Those losers invoked God and laid their cause -- race-based human bondage as a foundation for their economy -- at the Lord's feet. He saw to it that they lost, and that emancipation came to those who had had their God-given freedom and all of their labor stolen from them by Southrons. I pray for your enlightenment.

There will be no redemption and certainly no forgiveness for anyone who takes the mark of the beast on his hand or forehead but the same shall be destroyed. John Macathur was WRONG and in ERROR over the subject. Let us open our bibles to the book of Revelation 14:9-11 9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Do not take the MARK of the BEAST but do receive the LORD JESUS CHRIST as your LORD and SAVIOR and obey his commandments. To do so, open the bible read Romans 10:9 in the new testament.

The Savior did not rise on a Sunday. In all of the Greek Manuscripts of the Bible, THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK (SUNDAY) WAS NEVER MENTIONED ONCE IN THE ENTIRE NEW TESTAMENT! It's easy to prove this if you're really a Bible student and not a Rome-tainted poser. No offense, per se. All of the Greek Manuscripts that cite the Resurrection, agree in full harmony that the Savior rose from the dead on THE SABBATON (SABBATH) Strong’s Concordance #4521. NOT SUNDAY! And this also means that Easter Sunday is a pagan, Catholic-invented, sun worshiper's holy day. It's unbiblical, unsacred, AND HERESY! This is why you can’t get 3 days & 3 nights from Good Friday to Easter Sunday morning. Because it’s a Catholic lie that’s been adopted by Protestants. (Matthew 12:40) “For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days AND THREE NIGHTS in the heart of the earth.” There are very few New Testament Greek Manuscripts that are still in existence that were written before the 5th century with record of the Resurrection. They are as follows: Papyrus 75 (175-225 AD) contains the Gospel of Luke. Papyrus 66 (200-300 AD) contains the Gospel John. Codex Vaticanus (325-350 AD). Codex Sinaiticus (330-360 AD). Codex Alexandrinus (400 AD). And as stated, they all fully agree that the Resurrection Day of the Son of God was the SABBATON (SABBATH), not the first day of the week! Check ANY NON-CATHOLIC LEXICON. Here's the most popular Lexicon in the world... Thayers: BlueLetterBible.org. which uses the well-respected TEXTUS RECEPTUS (which is what the KJV is based upon). OR USE VIRTUALLY ANY LEXICON... NON-CATHOLIC! Rome has long proven herself as untrustworthy. Be sure to click the INTERLINEAR TOOLS TAB TO SEE THE GREEK & ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS WORD FOR WORD. Just type in all of the Resurrection Scriptures & CLICK THE TOOLS TAB, and you'll confess that our Blessed Messiah rose on the Sabbaton (SABBATH), NEVER SUNDAY! Again, the first day of the week is NEVER mentioned once in the entire Greek New Testament! Here are all of the Resurrection Scriptures to make your research even easier: MATTHEW 28:1... MARK 16:1-2... LUKE 24:1...JOHN 20:1... JOHN 20:19... And check out the following 2 verses that are used by Rome-tainted Christianity, to pretend that the Church gathered on the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK... THEY SAY SABBATON (SABBATH) TOO. ACTS 20:7 & 1 CORINTHIANS 16:1-2. Research truth and forsake man-made, Commandment breaking paganism, AND OBEY ALL 10 OF OUR GOD'S HOLY COMMANDMENTS. Including honoring His Holy 7th Day Sabbath (Exodus 20:8-11). Cherry-pickers of the eternal 10 Commands will suffer consequences. You don't have to be one of them! The Damnable Conspiracy of Christianity. kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5eUoWyKm6agq7csi=Ne3exOeiyurulRZA The attached video link shows you with your own eyes and in your own Bible, that an Easter Sunday Resurrection is a Catholic-invented lie. A fabrication that was motivated largely by the desire to align with the sun worshipper, Constantine the Great. And partly motivated by the attempt to disassociate the Church from the stigma of the Jewish religion during that historical period. Explore an online Thayer’s Lexicon (BlueLetterBible.org) to unveil a consistent pattern in the original Greek language of the Bible concerning the Resurrection Day of the Savior. AGAIN, the original Greek text NEVER mentions the “FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK” (SUNDAY) during these occurrences. Instead, each Resurrection scripture specifies that Christ rose on the “SABBATON” (Strong’s # G4521). Intriguingly, “SABBATON” is translated as “SABBATH” or “SABBATH DAY” 59 times in the New Testament. However, intentional mistranslations by the Church of Rome (Catholic Church) and subsequent translations have replaced “SABBATON” with “FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK.” This heresy occurs each time that the Resurrection is cited to falsely support a sacred Sunday narrative. This alteration becomes particularly significant given the historical context, as Sunday held a sacred status for the sun-worshiping Romans of that era. Of course, the Church of Rome was too high and mighty (and likely antisemitic) to be associated with the Jewish practice of Sabbath Keeping. And the only way to pretend to justify Sunday as sacred was to pretend that Christ rose on that day. The video also proves that it’s a Biblical and mathematical impossibility for the Savior to have been crucified on Good Friday and resurrected on Sunday morning. It’s literally impossible, based on the Messiah’s own prophecy! This is why you can’t get 3 days & 3 NIGHTS from Good Friday to Easter Sunday morning. (Matthew 12:40) “For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” Those are the words of Christ, Himself. And if you can miraculously get 3 NIGHTS from Friday afternoon to sunrise Sunday morning, you’re a wizard. Yet, Christianity & Catholicism force you to suspend disbelief to hide the sanctity of the Biblical 7th Day Sabbath! And to elevate the man-made, pagan-inspired, unbiblical holy day - Sunday. There were 2 SABBATHS THE WEEK THAT OUR LORD DIED. The first Sabbath was the Ceremonial Sabbath of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which occurs the next evening after the start of the Passover week. This is the HIGH DAY SABBATH that forced the Jews to beg Pilate to remove Christ from the cross, before that Sabbath began at sunset. (JOHN 19:31 & LEVITICUS 23:5-8) Christianity pretends it was a Friday. But the Bible contradicts this common error. Because again, Christ said He would be in the grave, not just 3 days, but 3 NIGHTS, TOO. (Matthew 12:40). And there is no way in Heaven you can get 3 days & nights from a Friday afternoon Crucifixion to an early Sunday morning Resurrection. Here is the timeline of our Savior’s Death, Burial, and Holy Resurrection: THE MESSIAH DIED ON A WEDNESDAY & ROSE ON SATURDAY BEFORE SUNRISE, THE HOLY SABBATH (SABBATON)! However, established Christian religions have capitalized on the complacency, and perhaps, the reluctance of their followers to research this crucial TRUTH! Counting the death and resurrection days can be disconcerting, and it’s entirely understandable given the complexities involved. Our brains are accustomed to the time frames we’ve known throughout our lives, and factoring in the new day starting at sunset adds an additional layer of intricacy. It’s a nuanced process that can be challenging to grasp at first. But the accurate death & resurrection days of our Savior are of the utmost importance for several spiritual reasons! This INTENTIONAL MISTRANSLATION HERESY also continues in the Book of Acts and 1 Corinthians. In the Greek language of the New Testament, SABBATON (Strong’s # G4521) was also mistranslated in two Scriptures that Churches erroneously use to validate their “Sunday as Sacred” dogma. Acts 20:7 & 1 Corinthians 16:1-2. The same blasphemy the Roman Catholic Church performed to the Resurrection Scriptures, they repeat here. They intentionally MISTRANSLATED the Greek word “SABBATON” to “WEEK.” and added “First Day” in front of it. And just like magic… SUNDAY! Rest assured, the Sun-worshipping Emperor, Constantine the Great, played a pivotal role in orchestrating this deceptive bait-and-switch. In 321 AD, he formally implemented the notorious SUNDAY LAW, which prohibited the operation of shops and businesses on the DAY OF THE SUN. In a calculated exchange for the compliance of the “Christian” religion to honor the “Venerable Day” of his Sun god (Sol Invictus), Constantine ceased the persecution of Christianity through the EDICT OF MILAN in 313 AD. Astonishingly, he professed to be Christian himself, citing a dream that allegedly instructed him to conquer BY THE SIGN OF THE CROSS. This narrative raises questions about the authenticity of such claims, particularly when juxtaposed with the teachings of Christ found in the Holy Bible. Finally, in 364 AD, during the Council of Laodicea (CANON 29), the Roman Catholic Church cemented the culmination of this unholy manipulation. Committing the most egregious offense, they literally outlawed the observance of the Holy 4th Commandment, imposing a curse on those who dared to obey the Biblical Sabbath Commandment. Devoid of any Biblical authority, they audaciously attempted to shift the sanctity from the Holy 7th Day Sabbath to Sunday, the first day of the week. This heretical and blasphemous act has unfortunately persisted as the established norm for both Catholics and Christians alike ever since.

Grace to You - Blog Graphics Unforgivable? by Phil Johnson Wednesday, October 30, 2013 Several years ago in a live Q&A session, someone asked John MacArthur if taking the mark of the Beast during the Great Tribulation would be an unpardonable sin. His answer, in short, was no. Though there is a stern warning against taking the mark of the Beast in Revelation 14, the sin is not categorically said to be unpardonable. (That would contradict Matthew 12:31.) The point of the severe language in Revelation 14 is to make clear what an utterly reprehensible sin it will be to swear an oath of willful loyalty to Antichrist. Someone posted John MacArthur’s reply to that question on KZbin with a melodramatic one-word title in all caps: “OUTRAGE.” Gossip-mongers on the Internet got hold of it, apparently, and within days someone wrote to our ministry saying, “I saw pastor John on a KZbin video saying the way to be saved in the Tribulation is to take the mark of the Beast.” Well-no. If someone listens to Pastor MacArthur’s reply and imagines he was saying it’s no great sin to receive the mark of the Beast, listen again; that grossly twists what he actually said. The question is not (as one writer suggests) “How Far Can You Go and Still Be Able to Repent?” The point John MacArthur was making is about the extremes to which God’s grace will reach in order to seek and save a sinner. Yes, Revelation 14:9-11 says, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” Clearly, receiving the mark is a sin that will send those who commit it to hell. But the Bible also says, “Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). In short, all sin carries the threat of eternal doom, and some particularly heinous sins have a built-in hardening effect that makes them particularly dangerous. Scripture occasionally singles out common sins that have this peculiarly soul-destroying effect. On the other hand, only one very specific sin is ever said to be unforgivable. Any sin that is repented of is forgivable. Immediately after declaring all fornicators, drunkards, and swindlers unfit for heaven, the apostle writes, “Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God” (1 Corinthians 6:11). After saying, “Whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven,” Jesus famously forgave Peter, who denied Him before men. Jesus Himself said, “Any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven ” (Matthew 12:31, emphasis added). The one unpardonable sin was the sin of those who had seen His miracles with their own eyes; they knew He was the true Messiah; they were part of the generation to whom He was personally sent. And yet they attributed His powers to Satan. That was unforgivable because it was such a hard-hearted, willful expression of utter rejection from fully enlightened hearts, who punctuated their rejection with an extreme blasphemy. Those Pharisees had stood in the presence of the living embodiment of all truth; they heard His words and saw His works. All the mysteries of Christ had been unveiled before their very eyes. And yet they spurned Him. There was nothing else that could be shown to them to enlighten them further. They were not deceived; they knew full well what they were doing. That’s why their sin was unpardonable (cf. 1 Timothy 1:13). Revelation 19:20 indicates that multitudes will take the mark of the Beast because they are deceived. Scripture does not say that they are thereby automatically hardened forever against repentance. That is not the point of the strong warnings. This whole issue suddenly became a matter of intense controversy when it was mentioned on a provocative radio program. It’s certainly not worth all the ink that has been wasted and all the bandwidth that has been consumed by angry people demanding explanations and retractions. This much should certainly be clear from the biblical text (and I think would be affirmed by all sides): Taking the mark of the Beast is high treason against Christ and will be judged by God accordingly. Meanwhile, the Lord is “good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon [Him]” (Psalm 86:5).

Ken Willis, I have thoroughly enjoyed your teaching so far; However, I do not agree with you on the NKJV. To list it the same as the ESV or NIV is misleading just because of footnotes. The overall translation of the NKJV is of the TR and not the CT.

I appreciate your comments. I certainly would prefer the NKJV over the others, and as you say, the majority of it does follow the TR, however, the NKJV does go with the CT in a significant number of places, it removes the name JEHOVAH all seven times it was used and does go with the CT in some key areas which prevent me from trusting it completely. Personally, I do enjoy it for removal of the thee's and thou's, and it is a good thing to use in some difficult or awkwardly worded passages. But always be careful to check it against the TR and even in the Old Testament against the Ben Chayim Masoretic Text, because I have seen enough to know the editors gave preference in a good number of places to the Septuagint, the Ben Asher Masoretic and the Critical Texts. But yes, I would be infinitely more comfortable with the NKJV than the ESV or NIV.

@@kenwillispodcast Thank you for your prompt response. I started reading the bible at around 10 years old, the KJV. It was hard, but I chalked that up to I was 10 years old. After years of reading the KJV I started using the NIV then after the NASB95 came out I went to that for years. Then used the ESV for some time. Then I hit a verse that really threw me for a flip, It made no sense at all. I was reading the new LSB. It was Hebrews 1:1 it read (fathers in the prophets). It made no sense to me. I knew in my heart this did not read correctly. I got the NASB95, it read the same way. The ESV did. So I grabbed the KJV and the NKJV and they both read as I remember, (fathers by the prophets.) It was here I started my study as to why the difference. Long story short, I no longer even have those on my shelf. I read and study from the KJV with the NKJV. I believe, as you stated in your 1st or 2nd video, that the Word of God is a spiritual book and should not be easy to understand. We need prayer and the help of the Holy Spirit each time the cover is opened. Amen.

"modern perversions" I take to be YOUR take on less corrupted inventions - such as the tendentious King James VERSION. Notice what "version" means. Think on,mate. All "versions" are to some extent PER-versions.

I really have to say that I question the salvation of many people who really don't believe in the preservation of the very words of God. Even a cursory comparison of the KJV with so many of the modern translations that are from corrupt text should reveal to a born-again and even halfway spiritual believer should reveal that modern versions either lack certain parts of the word of God, change the words of God to something entirely different, or question the validity of certain verses and passages that any real believer should KNOW are the inspired words of God. If a person has ANY Bible that has notes questioning the validity of certain passages or verses as actually being God's inspired words they should quickly burn it. Don't toss it in the trash unless you shred it. It should not be given away to corrupt someone else. Wescott and Hort were greatly used by their father SATAN. I truly believe both of them were truly controlled and influenced by DEMONS.
