“When you call yourself an Indian or a Muslim or a Christian or a European, or anything else, you are being violent. Do you see why it is violent? Because you are separating yourself from the rest of mankind. When you separate yourself by belief, by nationality, by tradition, it breeds violence. So a man who is seeking to understand violence does not belong to any country, to any religion, to any political party or partial system; he is concerned with the total understanding of mankind.” ― Jiddu Krishnamurti

Throw away your own opinion and rely on the Upanishads......I laughed at that.... That's Swami at his best manifesting Kali Ma. She cuts through the little self and shows the Self. Om Kali Ma ❤

This is can excellent set of presentations from FOUR different perspectives. Each of them are valuable in their own way. The spiritual growth as part of the ageing process made a strong impression on me. I am taking the liberty to share it with my contacts. Thank you for this valuable gift to understand and master ageing.

In "Theravada" Buddhism in Sri Lanka, all enlightened "Baghavath Buddhas" appear on earth , after eons of life times of purification of the mind, as a fulfilling universal qualification to perfecting qualities of "conscious energies" described in Sri Lankan Buddhist texts "Pali Thripitaka" as "paramitha kamma" (perfectible universal deeds). The Baghvath Buddha has described beings existing in 31 realms. All creations in this universes are "energies" with influence of the six ( 6 ) "elements" 1. sound (ears ), 2. taste ( tongue ), 3, smell (nose ) 4. seeing (eyes ). 5. touch (Body ), 6, feelings(heart ), under "causality". The Buddha has described how universal energy called "kamma" manifests in human form through human faculties of seeing, hearing, smelling, taste, touch & mind (past experiences) called aggregates, amalgamating with external world experiences of feelings through the Human "Heart Organ " as electrical wave signals to develop a "seed" to become "conscious energy" which continues to the brain as a "thought" and this continuation of experience is stored in the "sub conscious" mind in the human brain called "mano" (pali ) (mind) in Buddhism. This" perception " action is called "thought". Thought becomes a conscious energy called "kamma/karma = consciousness in Buddhism.

Thank you Swami Harinamananda Ji for organizing this talk in such an effective manner. My twin brother and I had the honor of hosting Swami Sarvapriyananda on our podcast several times. In the midst of problems and the crisis going on in the world, this talk was much needed and I’m glad that people will be able to avail this knowledge 🙏🏼

Thank you for this talk. I wish this conversation had gone beyond the surface level. I understand the Vedanta order's commitment to being non-political, but I was hoping for actionable steps on how to remain calm and centered during the political unrest in the coming weeks. Swami Vivekananda, like many enlightened leaders, strongly advocated for justice, a principle I’ve also seen expressed deeply in Sufism and Islam. If they could take clear stands on how we should treat one another in a political context, why are we hesitant to model that in our own lives? Enlightened figures worked tirelessly to uplift and serve people in their times of need. It feels important that we continue that legacy with clarity and compassion, especially in such charged times.

The only "action" one needs to "take" is to cognize AS A FACT that, "I AM" is the unaffected spectator of "political rest or unrest". "Knowledge" alone helps you to shed the ignorance that lands you under the "delusion" of "events" of "rest" and "unrest" being stirred up by "individuals" and "events". In TRUTH, these "events" and "emotions" are rising and subsiding in that "LONE PRINCIPLE OF I" at the sole discretion of "I".

@@ravindramurthy3486 As much as I agree, lots of people rely on certain government policies to stay out of poverty / get a chance to be out of poverty. It is tough for us who are in poverty to focus on prayer, meditation, and thinking of "I am" when we cannot feed ourselves properly. It requires immense spiritual strength to do so and I do not expect the average person who is going through the struggle to know what TO do. Life is very unstable for many people who are seeking support and guidance, not just someone telling them "You are fine because you are God"
@ravindramurthy34863 ай бұрын
@@rasha9546 1. Yes, I agree that "one" cannot take shelter under/nor rise to "spirituality" when basic survival is threatened. 2. However, at least being aware of the "FINAL TRUTH" is of paramount importance so that "one day", as soon as "conditions permit", at the earliest opportunity "one" makes an attempt at cognition of "TRUTH". 3. If Divinity blesses "you" with that COGNITION, "you" will find that "you" and the "elements" that threatened your survival, were also "events" in accordance with "DIVINE PROGRAMMING" and that "you" were never an "individual" but that DIVINITY ITSELF. 3. This is my perspective as an individual. Leaving aside Vedanta, purely from the perspective of an individual transacting in a world, it would be foolish to rely on a government. We are too naive to think that the politicians care about we the commoners; they are in it for themselves in their ivory towers. The more we rely on ourselves and "our own networks", better off we are.

Who is the author of _The Synthesis of Yogi_ article recommended by Swamiji [42:06]? An online search only gives Sri Aurobindo as a possibility; however, that name does not resemble the one mentioned in this video (which was unclear). Thanks to anyone who can help.
