4:19 no it was not a failure and what prevented it from being a success was the demise of Studebaker.

The 1963 Pontiac Tempest was marketed as a 'senior compact', and would grow to be a mid-size car for 1964. How could the 1963 Tempest compete with the Chevelle when there was no Chevelle yet? Then you talk about the 1965 Rambler Rebel which was a 2-door hardtop, while showing pictures of the 1964 Rambler Classic 6 cylinder 4-door sedan. The optional AMC 327 V8 in a 1965 Rambler Classic / Rebel certainly competed with other manufacturer's muscle cars. Why would you compare the mid-size Rebel to the Mustang and Camaro compact pony cars, expecially since there would be no Camaro until 1967? In short, your video is a boatload of hogwash.

God what an awful video... Sliding doors that aren't demonstrated, hardtop convertible that is barely shown in operation, the Edsel line which shows one model... and that awful voice. The Edsel looks good in comparison to this waste of time video. Oh, and a click-bait car that is never shown... Keep your day job? I'm surprised you've even got a job at all!

Demand was so high for the Avanti that Studebaker, being a small company compared to the big 3 couldn't build them fast enough so buyers got tired of waiting and bought a Buick Riviera instead which was in its targetted market. None of these cars were stupid. They all sold fairly well.

After 30 seconds i knew that you dont know shit from clay, those cars are older and a lot smarter than you,youve got nothing new. Why show a mustang on yourthumb nail,one of Americas most popular cars but you aint old enough to know that

1:51 guess again the last year for the Avanti was 1964. Research anyone?3:14 in Canada. Production in South Bend, where the Avanti was made, ceased in Dec. of 1963.3:32 1965 Rambler rebel? OMG you're kidding right? The rebel didn't get re introduced until 1966 3:34 Not an Ambassador. 3:46 which of course wouldn't be unveiled for another 2 years, dumba**.

What a laughable analysis. View the 50 Chev Olds or Buick if you want to actually see and hear about old design,(Chrysler Ford as well), underpowered like the Chev and certainly not any better design than the Packard. SO many pundits in the auto arena like this person/ persons that know truly very little about auto history, design and Quality. Soon as I hear their baloney early in the scheme I just laugh and cancel Out the sound.
@mitchburk51122 ай бұрын
Putting a Packard on a list of worst cars is just wrong. They were made from top quality materials with true craftsmanship. Were they outdated, yes, but they were as reliable as an anvil.

Why is it that everytime a bad review of an American automobile is given its done by a non American? You don't hear of Americans going to Europe to critique their fine line of crap

Really? Do you think these were dumb failures? What about push-button gear selectors placed where children can reach them? How about not spending the $$ to design a V-8 or borrow someone else's and instead propel all your new products with a flathead 6?

The Ambassador was a longer plusher version of the regular Rambler, a midsize or compact car and never full sized (although the original body introduced in 1956 and lasting until 1962 was more space efficient than full sized cars.) When talking about the 1969 model the video shows the completely different 1965-66 version. The Gan Prix (a bad year for them) shown has silly restomod wheels so it does not look like the original.

Hey that 69 Grand Prix is gorgeous it's got a lot of Chrome without being overboard and actually if you look at that at the 1969 Monte Carlo it's got a long hood longer then that 1!!! Even the one in your thumbnail isn't that bad compared to something like the pacer or the grimlin or the Maverick those are ugly ugly canalysis in the Matador is no beautiful vehicle either but yeah you're not on the same page with most people that's just your taste now
@emjayay2 ай бұрын
The Skyliner had a tub in the trunk to put luggage in so it wouldn't interfere with the top which would cover the bin. The trunk was longer and taller (the fuel tank was in the front of trunk - see the filler door at 4:20 - instead of under it) than a regular convertible so while there was less trunk room it isn't small. You can see the bin (covered) at 4:40. The technology was adapted for the 1958-1966 Thunderbird and Lincoln soft top convertibles. None of these are "dumbest and worst" and none of them will surprise anyone even 1% of the time, other than being wrong.
