The idea that the voice of Optimus Prime was created purely out of love. Words of wise love from one man, and the love one brother to another. That’s what makes Optimus Prime so iconic. He may have been structured a hero- but the man behind the voice gave him a soul. And he made it a wonderful one.

In addition to the title, my favorite origin story of Optimus is that he wasnt even a soldier. He was a Librarian. Optimus Prime was Gen X robot Dad. Bayformers are cosplayers and impostors.

For me Peter is not my favorite voice for Optimus, that goes to Garry Chalk as he was voicing Optimus when I was growing up. Garry wouldn't have been able to do it though if it wasn't for Peter. Peter gave us the voice of a true hero. Optimus is one of my favorite heroes in fiction, up there with Goku.
