Hi Lisa. I’ve been papercrafting for many years and I love my big Fiskars rotary trimmer. It’s well worth the money. You won’t regret it. It is very precise, but you do have to take the time to align the paper carefully against the plastic bumper and the printed grid lines. Personally, I find it very fiddly for cutting small pieces, so I use a desktop-sized plastic guillotine (Tim Holtz/Iconic) for that. I find the Fiskars way too big for the desktop. I keep it and a large metal guillotine trimmer (a Dahle 533) on a separate cutting table and use the Tim Holtz/Iconic on my desktop. Hope that helps. 😎😎😎

Hi Lisa, thank you so much for sharing this journal! I use 65 or 110 lb base for these and 1 1/2"-2" wide. These are one of my favorite things to make, I think they are a cute addition to the journals. I also have the paper cutter you are asking about. My kids got it for me for Christmas a couple of years ago and I have used the heck out of it. It works wonderful and definitely worth the investment. Your paper snippet turned out cute! Always fun to see another artists spin !
