You've got the right tools for this one! What an awesome Cylinder! This is the vacuum that Margo has in the Good Life, she complains that it won't stop whistling 😂 The bag was full (and that dial at the front was probably turned to its most sensitive setting)

@hoovermaster serial number is year and week... so if its 441 on a 302 then it's the 41st week of 1974 for example 😁👍

Love it! My childhood vacuum! ❤ I use those bags in mine sometimes, i just cut out the rubber membrane and it stops the whistling and the suction is a lot better 😁 I think the very early models in 1974 had either that hose with no suction control, or suction control similar to the 345 (that slides up and down)... then i think from 1975 they settled on the side to side version you've got as a spare. Should also be the long single piece extension tube (though Sam Watson has 2 short ones for his 302!) Ps I'd kill for that instruction booklet if you fancy selling it 🙏😊

Yep, they certainly do have suppressors- inside the motor. Had a yellow one the same as in the video go pop when I was using it a few months ago.

A very basic but somehow always more charming than the high spec stuff - because these basic ones didn't survive as much its great to have one now.and you have several! Nice one!

2 nice dirt searchers and a 1036 mk2!had examples of all of them.these are normally easy to bypass the surpressor, the latest ones just have the little plug in supressors The 1036 mk2 is probably my favourite there. It's so 80s is the cream and brown

It did trip at the fuse board lol, didn’t blow the fuse in the plug, I’m not sure what I’ve done not quite right haven’t checked further

On mine the kids have broken off the plug and the cable has gone inside the hoover, would you know how to split the hoover so I can retrieve the cable and put another plug on please, I cannot seem to get to the 2 back screws as the on and off button is in the way as the cable retractable button also is in the way thanks 👍.

It’s easy enough one you get the screws out, you need to remove the lid by prising gently on either side where it hinges on the back speed control panel. If your stuck I’ll make a video

@@hoovermaster thanks for your reply really appreciated, what I did was put my fingers in the hole where the cable goes and turned it around till I found the end, then got a pair of long nosed pliers and pulled it out, put a new plug on it only to find the recall doesn't work got to do that now.

Hi, take the rollers out and switch on see if both of the little motor shafts turn. Might help you see if one motor is faulty.

That is indeed an OCS variant! Logo has probably just rubbed off over time or something like that. Tub is 100% OCS too as its the dark blue one that they came in. One thing I have noticed that looks a bit strange is the handle, but by then it would have been the fixed style seen on later basils/nv200s etc so it was probably a replacement of some kind.

Hi, it does take a while for the tank to start to fill. Eventually as you use more spray it does. Might make another video but mines needs a new part, still love it though

I found a green hetty thrown out yesterday whilst out driving. I brought it home for spares for my red Henry but decided to plug it in.!!! I couldn’t believe it works fine and I used it vacuum my workshop out.👍 Unbelievable what some people throw out.!!
